I have been a student at dream house since 2022 and honestly, this school doesnt really teach anything about leadership, even though thats what it claims to promote. The students here act just like at any other public school theres always drama, and not even involving me, but in general. The grading system is also terrible. If you miss one assignment, it feels like you automatically fail, which makes no sense. Most of the classes dont even teach useful things its a lot of unnecessary work that doesnt stick. Nothing here feels memorable; I cant even name one thing I did last week.

I have been at the school for four years and an upcoming sophomore. I really love the school and have made a lot of memories and a friendships. We have amazing staff and dedicated teachers. I have always felt safe at our school and I love the school community that I am in. I know that the first two years I was at the school were great, but we really turned it around. We got a new principal and a CEO who are very passionate and invested in DreamHouse. I am very proud to call DreamHouse my school.

I have two ( soon 3) children attending DH and I always ask them about their day, grades, how is the school, and do they feel safe. Without a doubt they always give me positive feedback. They show me their grades on their iPad, and are passing each class, they have successfully done presentations without the help of me or my spouse, they make sure their work is completed on time and they enjoy their peers. They are happy, they feel safe and regardless of no homework, they do still receive assignments that are to be finished during class time. Every school has its challenges but I do believe DH is a great school for those who are more timid and have anxiety with being around large crowds. Its a great place to be yourself especially as a young teen, HS can be intimidating and I feel like DH makes you feel comfortable and brings out the best in the kids. This is just from my experience, but seeing my boys thrive has brought me so much joy with choosing DH.

Our son came from Ka Waihona o Ka Na'auao in Nanakuli and was a founding student at DreamHouse in 6th Grade. DreamHouse was a new PCS (Public Charter School). DreamHouse focuses on leadership and identity development, place-based learning, cultural and community engagement, and other approaches that we value.
The school was completely bootstrapped for the first few years. After a short time, DreamHouse has secured two fixed property campuses, one for Middle School and one for High School.
We have been listening carefully to our son over the years. He just completed 11th Grade and will be part of the first graduating class. He and his classmates have been learning and navigating the constant changes alongside the school community. This past year, everything began to crystallize with the opening of DreamHouse Center (the new high school). Our son has continued to grow and thrive. He attributes a great deal of his development to the Coaches (Teachers/Instructional Leaders) of DreamHouse.
He has largely been happy with the school and feels highly supported. There is a great deal of freedom, which also comes with high expectations of their character and leadership development. DreamHouse is not a school designed to be an academic powerhouse or a college prep academy. It was designed to produce quality human beings and community leaders (wherever they go) and leave positive footprints in the world they will explore and touch.
What's most impressive is that he has had a well-rounded experiential education and developed social and emotional fluency that we believe is critical for success in life. In addition, his confidence grows each year as a result of his increasing competence in assessing situations, thinking critically, solving problems, and learning.
As parents, we have been involved with the school since long before the Charter was granted, and our son joined the inaugural class. If we had any doubts, we would have moved him out a long time ago. He's developed strong and meaningful relationships, and so have we.
I'll conclude by saying that while DreamHouse is open to everyone, it is not for everyone (students or families). If you are seeking a traditional school, look elsewhere. DreamHouse is a unique environment and culture.

I do not recommend this school. Lack of discipline, no security, reliant on technology, education is behind. If your child's slacking, they don't contact the parents at all. If they are, you'll probably just get an email. Don't call back, no cafeteria, nothing.

i went to this school before, and it was a not good, but interesting experience. first of all, no homework, and cell phones are allowed. you would get an ipad to take home and bring back to school, but many people would not be responsible and would break/lose their ipads, or do innapropriate things on there. the phone policy was really bad and people would be irresponsible with their phones, taking photos of things they shouldnt, or causing social media drama DURING school hours. the no homework was bad because we werent learning anything, and most of our core classes were easy to pass because the assignments were mainly art projects. we took barely any tests, and if so, people would cheat because we could use our phones during school hours. there is a lot of drama and fights there because the school is so small, and the teacher do not discipline us good. no detention, instead, they send you to the office to have "your soul healed" and have connection groups where you talk about how you need to solve problems. teachers dont care, we found a teacher vaping in the back, and was just casually smoking it in front of everyone. highly do not recommend coming here.
