This school was a superb transition from middle school to high school. It was a great bonding opportunity for each class of students to look around and know that everyone else is also in 9th grade. The teachers and staff are amazing and provide a wealth of information and advice to navigate the next 3 years with ease. There are opportunities for kids whether they are advanced or needing help. There is an activity bus that runs between the two campuses for students taking advanced classes not offered at the 9th grade school, or participate in activities/sports on the main campus. It's a win-win situation here. Frankly I'm very pleased my 9th graders are exposed to the big high school in limited doses for a year - they don't need to be in classes with 11th and 12th graders yet.

This school is supposed to create an easier transition into high school for oncoming students. They do not make it convienent for students or families. Open house is designed for students to become a little more comfortable with their schedules and with the new school. Yet when a student is not able to attend open house, the school makes it difficult for the student to find a time to come in. Not all families have parents who stay at home all day.
