Our experience with EMSA has been outstanding. Our daughter started here in Pre-K and is now in 1st grade, and the difference in her confidence, curiosity, and skills has been huge. Her teachers have been patient, encouraging, and consistent, and communication with families has been strong.
We appreciate the culture EMSA creates: high standards, supportive staff, and a positive environment where kids are excited to learn. We highly recommend EMSA and plan to apply for our son when hes old enough.

Many parents enrolled their children at EMSA because of the outdoor learning environment they promised. A unique learning environment for kids to learn. The school started that way under the first principal but after COVID, the administration changed, and Mrs. Willer was appointed the principal with zero leadership skills. The communicate to families was non-existent, uncertified teachers assistants were promoted to lead teachers with no teaching degrees and electives for middle school is a Friday party. Students were either not disciplined for poor behavior or harshly, disciplined if staff felt the need to for certain kids. The school completely lost its focus in putting kids education first. The revolving door of staff from day today continued to change with no stability to students. In order for the school to change it requires a completely new administration and to actually focus on what was promised to U46 families, a school with a different learning environment that is centered around children first. It's unfortunately because there are many amazing teachers especially in the elementary Neil Building.
