In my experience here I will give the school credit for trying to have every student succeed and allow for college prep, Ap classes, and many activities/sports. Although at what cost Most of the kids in my class ended up with some kind of drug addiction and or mental health issue. It seems the school doesnt give much attention to these issues. Also in most recent years there has been a numerous amount of fights. Obviously teens are gonna go out of character and try new things but at what cost. Honestly unless you want your child to wind up with some sort of mental issue and or drug addiction I would not recommend Lzhs.

This school doesnt cater to kids with any problems weather that be Income, Mental health, Special needs or racial issues. Racism is still very alive here and privileged kids struggle with drug addiction that is never overlooked or brought up.

This is an excellent high school with great teachers, great programs, and a focus on college preparedness. The athletics program is high level with many athletes being accepted and winning scholarships to great universities.

The ones below this are my husbands and sons. We need to spread the word to save other families from having their children have a horrible high school experience.

After carefully reviewing many of the local communities, we chose to move to this school district several years ago. We've been very happy with the results. The teachers are dedicated and attentive to the students and what needs to be taught. Great electives are offered both in the middle schools and high school. The community itself has a welcoming, home town atmosphere, and that carries over to the students' attitudes. Excellent programs are offered in foreign language, music, drama, art, business and engineering as well as all the honors and AP programs. Class levels are offered to address all the needs of the students, and the teachers are equally attentive to struggling students. We have experienced quite a few phenomenal teachers who really go the extra mile to make sure their students master their subjects. As a former school teacher, I expect a lot from a school district, and I have been very pleased with what we've found in Lake Zurich.

Teachers that can teach are few and far between. Too make up for this they assign a lot of homework.
