My child was locked out. Constant bullying from his other students. Went to pick up my kick my wife forgot her id so I went in to get him and was asked if I was his grandpa im 34 years old that was rude as I worked there before and know most of the staff there has been nothing but issues on these people. I got home and sat in my car and cried for 30 minutes it was rude and unnecessary for her to ask me if I was his grandpa

We feel lucky to attend this school! The number of hands-on projects, field trips, and nurturing each child receives is truly exceptional. My kid loves it here, and he is amongst peers who also really want to learn. All of his teachers have been professional and team players.

Honestly, our experience has been both good and bad. It very much depends on the teachers you get. I do wish the school would spend less money on things like live DJs at events, and maybe concentrate more on trying to make changes according to parent input.

This school gives young children way too much homework and if their homework isnt completed they miss recess the next day to complete it during buddy study.

They have a nice program on paper, but bullying is not taken seriously. Nothing is done to stop a problem. Luckily, our problem moved. Not everyone is so lucky. Help was denied.

The new Vice Principal is stand-offish and rude. We lost a gem when we lost Mrs. Patterson!!!!!!

Outdated in its practices and how it treats students! Kids aren't allowed to say no to anyone who wants to sit by them on the bus. My daughter was getting bullied but couldn't tell the bully that she couldn't sit by her. Homework for even my youngest can be a huge burden but is different based on what teacher you have. The school is slow to change.

For the amount of taxes collected by the district and the high parent involvement, this school is just so-so. The school and district don't seem to want parent input. If you're kid needs extra help or services or is on the other end and needs to be challenged, this isn't the district for you.

I would agree that if your child has any special needs D70 is not equipped, let alone interested in helping your child succeed. I blame the administration for not supporting and giving the teachers the proper training or tools to help kids with Learning disabilities to succeed. If you have a dyslexic child like I do, I do not recommend this district. The sad part is there are only 4 schools in the whole state of Illinois to help kids with Dyslexia and the wait lists are long. Something needs to be done so this kids are not left behind.
