Our three children have attended Copeland since 2014 and have loved it. The teachers, principal, staff and families are warm and welcoming! There are a lot of ways to get involved as parents. The Copeland Family Association plans a lot of activities for students and families. The staff is incredibly supportive and engaging.

We have moved around a lot and this is by far the best school! The families here are very involved. The students all do so well here - the teachers are top-notch and make sure every child is doing their best. My children are so enthusiastic about Copeland Manor and so am I!

Award winning school with caring teachers that are tuned into each child's education needs. Low drama, highly intelligent kids are found here - product of their parents so no surprise really. So sorry to see the principal moving on as he is a great leader for a great school. I hope the new principal is just as strong, caring, and balanced as our out going principal. I think the few poor reviews below are the occasional egotistical and entitled parents that we all have to tolerate from time to time, but I have to say by far - the majority of parents volunteer and help make our schools truly special.

Copeland is top notch -- Libertyville schools are the best within the region and this elementary is the best within the Libertyville school district. I have two children there now, and one on the way.... We are huge fans!

My kids love this school. The teachers and Principal care about the kids from social to academic skills. The new lunch room stage area and classroom addition is great. It serves the kids well with two lunch times, one for 1st thru 3rd grade and one 4th and 5th grade. It is by far better than the old gym lunch set-up. It's also a great gathering place for meetings and school events. The programs at Copeland are second to none, thanks to all at Copeland.

Children who go to extra instrumental lesson during the day are often pulled out during a critical subject and are responsible to learn the material missed on their own. From child's and my own observation the lunchroom order is not maintained, it is VERY loud, chaotic, food thrown on the floor by children and the supervisors do not enforce rules or make the children responsible for picking up food they have thrown on the floor. The new addition of cafeteria/multipurpose room is too small and cannot adequately serve the parent population when there is an event, parents end up standing outside the new addition's door to attend the various meetings. The room does not adequately support the school's annual talent show by acts having to be excluded because of floor type and/or lack of space...it is TOO small! It is not big enough for assemblies either. The children are squashed and cannot see.
