The administrative staff are amazing. Teachers care about their students and their education. Special education team and the support staff work really hard trying to address each childs needs. More funding would greatly help them and the students. Great school, Great teachers, Great team!!

Special Education program is awful. Bullying is also handled very poorly. Children are passively allowed to make fun of ethnicity/religion and when the bullied child lashes out, they're the one facing consequence. Overall a very unwelcoming environment for those in this school. Good on paper, bad at everything else.

Everyone in this school is terrible. Before I came to this school, I didnt even know what a swear word was, now I swear on the daily. Even if you find friends, you just end up talking about each other behind their backs. The subs a terrible, there are only about 2 good teachers in my grade alone. If I still live in this area when Im older, I would never send my kids here. The teachers do nothing about bullying. One of the teachers bullies an overweight kid, then pretends that hes joking. The kid gets bullied day to day for being overweight and teachers do nothing about it. The school itself is cheap and is poorly put together. The playground is terrible (not that important but still), at Hynes they had an amazing playground, but at Golf its just metal and wood. I recommend going to Hynes but after 4th grade, I would go to a different school.

If I knew I wish I could of told my parents to move to a different school district before starting Golf. This school is so poor and doesnt give you the full experience a school should. Some of the teachers are rude and dont care about bullying for people of color and lgbt members it was madness. The school was also so poor to the point where we didnt have transportation to other schools for sports activities and being very inconsiderate of those who have parents that work. The school would also give the option of going on field trips and overnight camp trips but made us pay and leaving the kids out whos parents couldnt afford. Its very sad and I would never send my kids to this school. Teachers were also very rude to special Ed students which mortified me.

The school is very good in general but when it comes to bullying the teachers don't care there is alto of bullying.

Overall, pretty poor. I never felt safe or challenged intellectually. Safety is swept under the rug, the school somehow feels cramped despite only having around 250 students, students are awful to each other, there is no leadership, and the school out right lies about building character.

The school loves to say why they build character, but has next to no proof of it. In fact, when I went their I didn't feel safe being an open atheist and LGBT+. I only felt compelled to hide it, the school has done nothing to teach tolerance for anyone. I'm upset they can advertise this with no proof, almost no students would have compassion or respect. It's just shameful how much they claim this with no proof.

No one knows what they should be doing, everyone (teachers) just seem to be doing their own thing. I have noticed next to no intervention with important issues like safety, bullying, or acceptance for different races, LGBT+ students, or religions.

I have seen how students with learning differences are talked down to, and it's just hard to look at. And test scores only prove my point.

I did not feel safe at all. The school loves to say how well they handle bullying, but I have not seen any proof what so ever. The classes in kindness are the same ones they teach to small children, avoiding serious topics like teen depression and suicide.

Golf Middle School is such the little engine that could! We have been through lots of hardships over the last several years, which could have caused our kids to suffer, but not here! We did loose some of our special programs, yet Golf's teachers and staff have keep their spirits up and pulled through. Our kids continue to do fantastic on tests and overall. With a lot of hard work and tightening of purse strings, the school will be reinstating many of the lost programs! The school's PTA is fantastic too! It just needs a bit more overall involvement.

I love our school. The teachers are amazing. The community comes together to plan events for the students. The students respect each other. Our administrators lead us to be the best we can!
