I have three children who all went to Rondout from kindergarten through eight grade. What they learned at Rondout academically, socially, and life skills, set them up for success in high school and college. It is a small community with big ambitions, a talented and dedicated administration and teaching staff, and resources to maintain a high quality of education for its students.

The district clusters students by ability in groups of K-2, 3-5, and 6-8 in order to challenge each student individually. In addition teachers are given are provided deep diagnostic data that helps to identify specific areas of strength and specific areas of improvement to create individualized learning plans, which they do effectively.

The leadership at Rondout is fantastic. The Superintendent and Principal have created a unique learning environment, know every student and parent by name, have active, productive relationships with the teachers and staff, and keep the buildings and grounds in top shape. They constantly challenge themselves and their staff to innovate, to follow teaching practices and methods grounded in research, and to provide creative opportunities for the students and staff to grow.

Rondout is a great school. I love the small classes and the support that each child gets. The kids are in classes that meet there needs and challenges them. I can not say enough about the administration. They love kids and will do anything to help them be successful.

Administration knows every student, every family. It takes the saying it takes a village to a different level. Parents are very involved. The school is very big on having the students be leaders as well.

Excellent! Both of my children have fond memories. Both are excelling at Libertyville High School. Class sizes are small and the students spend many years together. My oldest is still close with some of his classmates. My youngest was ready to dive in and start over with a whole new group of friends.

Rondout School prepared my children well for high school. My students received individualized attention tailored specifically to their needs and interest. I felt the teachers sincerely cared about their progress and remember them even now that they have graduated. Students in other bigger schools are one of many but at Rondout they were individually respected. My children are currently honor roll students and athletes at their high school.

Homework, like classes, are individualized to each student's ability. It's not busy work, but reinforces what children are learning and encourages application of content and problem solving.

I have had three very different children go through Rondout School, and they have each had unique and wonderful experiences. Such a family community, and the teachers take extra care to really know EVERY single child at the school. In my opinion, there is no better feeder school into Libertyville High School!

I really dislike this school and would recommend to parents who see this that they think of other options. This school has so many opportunities to make this Rondout School great and they continuously fail. I am a current student at this school and advise you move on.
