2019-2020 school year was a good year for my then 6th grader I have the same expectation for the 2020-2021 year for my now 7th grader and an incoming 6th grader. Best of luck to all the students, some kids have parents that are essential workers and must continue to work outside the home (my self included). This year will not be easy for anyone, so it's important we all do our part.

I saw my 6th grader have a fair amount of homework. Google class room is the best ally for parents, students and teachers. I wish this had been around when my oldest son was in middle school.

As a parent, I reach out to teachers via email whenever I feel like my kids are not where I think they should be academically. I have always received a reply back and together we have fixed whatever the issue was. Usually it was my child being distracted in class. That, is an issue my child and I needed to discuss at home and we did.

I strongly believe character is developed at home and in the earlier years, not at school, by middle school you should have integrity compassion and respect already.

If you reach out when you have an issue or a question, your concerns will be addressed (At least in my experience). My kids have never had a serious issue or a safety issue so I can't say how that type of issues are handled. My advise is, always email your questions or concerns, emails are always easier and faster to answer, plus you have paper trail and date stamped.

I haven't experienced this situation, but I would expect bullying to be unacceptable at any school.

Posted: January 23, 2020

Staff behavior is unacceptable, staff working there ONLY care about MONEY- not your child's needs.

Posted: January 23, 2020

The school does not prepare for you for high school in any way, academically, socially, or anything.

THE TEACHERS ROAST US, teachers put us down, just because other students aren't always in line, when a good student starts to show bad behavior they don't assume anything wrong is going on, they just give up on us.

Students are always bullying each other, there are always fights in the hallway, next to the cafeteria, you name it.

Racism, and bullying doesn't support learning differences, simple enough.

Teachers roast students to look cool, why is this allowed? Saw this in my 6th grade year and my 8th grade year.

This school is trash the staff do not care if someone is picking on your kid even if your kid is doing great and gets in a fight that he never started they won't care and punish both and to add on the person being picked on told the principle and they never took action so the bully picked on the kid and fight began.
Morrow of the story don't send your kid to a bad environment if you want him or her to be safe.
