We loved being at East Lake Academy for 8 years. My daughter started in 1st grade and son started in 5th grade. When we started at ELA my children felt welcomed by their classmates and teachers. The teachers foster an environment in the classroom where newcomers are welcomed and positively acclimated to the classroom since the values of kindness, patience and virtue are reinforced constantly by the teachers and administrators.
The strong academic, solid faith formation and inclusion of sports and clubs make this school the solid foundation that has really allowed both my children who are now alumni (High school sophomore and College Sophomore) to flourish and succeed. It is also a great family community! Teachers work with and listen to parents - which we loved! Thank you East Lake Academy!

I have graduates and current students. The teachers at East Lake take an interest in the growth of my children academically, their character, their faith and show them how to put it all into action. They develop morally strong students who know how to work hard, play hard.

The academic and social environment at East Lake brings out the best in my children. They feel love and respected. They are encouraged lovingly to always strive for their best. The faculty is outstanding! They know every student by name. My children all began reading in Pre-K age 4 and it has accelerated their confidence and their learning. They are excellent students because of it. It is cool to participate and love learning.

We want to express our thanks and gratitude to the administration and teachers at East Lake Academy for the faith formation of the children. Our daughter graduated from ELA in 2015 and has taken it upon herself to propose a "Mass Crash Course" to the Head of School, Principal and Religion teacher at her high school. Her inspiration is to help other students understand and participate in the Holy Mass. She created the course, wrote the proposal and sent it off without help from us. It's truly amazing to watch her express her faith so freely and to evangelize to all whom will listen. We believe ELA has a HUGE part in that. The example that the administration and teachers set for the children of openly living and expressing their faith is invaluable and such a gift to the children and, in turn, to all of us parents.
Thank you to all of you at ELA for the AMAZING job you do!
Blessings,
East Lake Parents

I am a parent who was seeking an open and lively learning environment for my son in order for him to achieve a balanced development in academic, moral, spiritual, physical and artistic qualities, as well as to nurture the values of love, goodness and truth. After researching secondary schools in this region, I am greatly impressed by the school's educational philosophy, dedicated teaching staff, overall facilities and excellent track record. My son is now in eighth grade his test scores for high school was a composite of 96% and is registered for all honors classes. I'm am truly impressed from the dedication of the staff and also parent involvement. I believe this school deserve this award

For the parent that said "preschool is great but academics suffer as the child moves out of preschool" well I assume you have not actually graduated a child from ELA, right ? I usually wouldn't respond to such a bold statement but having graduated my first from East Lake you are misinformed !!! This years class got scholarships to most of their chosen high schools, tested out of freshmen classes, will play on sports teams as freshmen AND my child tested into ALL honors courses at Loyola ! The other local/private schools can't necessarily say that. As for classes are to small....now that everyone is seeing the results of ELA, the lower grades are full with wait lists and the upper grades are getting bigger as the years go on. Frankly my kids love the small classes with strong attention on each student. My graduate is friends with all of the kids in his class ...male and female , there is no division like you usually see in teens in the other schools. Best of all in a small school everyone knows you and your siblings, your parents, even the grandparents ...it's fantastic . I wish every child had the opportunity to attend such an outstanding school.

The preschool is great, but the quality of academics suffer as the child moves out of preschool. Average academics compared to surrounding schools. Lacking especially in language arts and creative writing. The classes and the school are so small that some children may feel suffocated or over-analyzed. Huge emphasis on perfect behavior, which can lead to low self esteem for some children. Nice religion program.

This school is beyond my wildest dreams ! If I could list everything I could ever want for my children in a place where they will be from ages 4-14 , 10 months out of the year, 5 days a week, and 7 plus hours a day this school surpasses it one million times. I don't even need to talk about it publically because the " proof is in the pudding " my kids and all the East Lake students stand out from the rest ..... the BEST thing I ever did for my kids was send them to ELA !

This is our first year at East Lake Academy. Our son is in PK4 and so far we absolutely LOVE our experience. Our son is cleary challenged academically and feels respected and truly loved by his teachers. This is a great school for the "hands-on parent" who is willing to take an active role and follow through at home with lessons and behavior learned at school. I can't say enough good things about East Lake Academy. I'm so glad we made the decision to give our son such an amazing start in life!

I have two daughters at East Lake Academy. Our oldest started in PK3 and is now in third grade. Deciding to send my children to East Lake was one of the best decision I've made in my life. The teachers and the faculty truly are an extension of our role as parents. We share the same mission. To form our children to be the best versions of themselves they can possible be. In the early years, we had concerns about lack of sports, art, etc.... Currently all the concerns we've ever had have been addressed. The school has been blessed with an overwhelming interest in it. As the school has grows it keeps getting better. Academically - the test results speak for themselves. As for the rest of the child's formation - visit the school and meet the students. You'll see why East Lake is so special. I'm excited to see these confident Catholic leaders heading out into the world to change it for the better.

The number one reason I love East Lake Academy is because my children are so loved and respected by the teachers and administration. The Christian environment allows the teachers to focus not only on the school's stellar academics, but also on spiritual attributes. In a world where materialism and bullying are a a reality for many children, East Lake Academy provides a shelter in which the children can concentrate on what's really important: learning and growing.

My children are in middle school and we transferred from another area school. The language arts, history/geography and math programs are like no other. My children are reading classics including works like Tom Sawyer, To Kill a Mockingbird and Shakespeare. The math curriculum is so strong which was one of the reasons we switched. The Catholic formation they receive is authentic in every way. My children are finally challenged academically and spiritually to their potential which is what they deserve.
