I love BPMS! My first year here wasn't too good but since then it has gotten better as we have new principals. They take mental health seriously. We didn't have See something say something when i first got here but now that we have it, it is a life changer
They take bullying very seriously

I'm really happy with BPMS. My student has transitioned to middle school seemingly easy. They have plenty of programs for students to be involved in and 3 days a week there is a late bus. Students use after school to get help on homework from teachers and they don't have to make arrangements for a ride home cause they can take the late bus. Extremely useful for after school programs. One of the best things is the parent portal which lets you check on grades, assignments, attendance and how your student is doing in each class. Plus it provides a direct way to email the teacher if you have questions. I utilize paren portal daily and have emailed several teachers. I find the school fun, friendly and safe. This is a huge improvement from my first weeks experience, which was chaotic.

Well it's only the first week of school at beach park middle and twice already they have disappointed. They wait til the last minute to email any information to parents. I got a call a few hours prior to a 6th grade meeting, that there was going to be one and today I was informed about a dance at the school that is tomorrow. Really slow communication. Maybe the district should get a twitter acct.

My school is amazing I love going there the gifted program is amazing but we don't get to mix In with different people. Still the school has many after school activites and this really cool.

My daughter has attended 2 years. When we transferred in she almost flunked her grade because they didn't understand how to read her school file and place her in the needed classes. They also mishandled her life threatening medical condition. The teachers are overpaid and self-inflated at their own value. The curriculum is lacking, the teachers (for most part) are disingenuous, uncaring, and detached. Trying to get the vice principal or principal to return a call is like waiting for the president to call back, they believe themselves too busy to be bothered with trivial parents. The front desk staff are incompetent at best (to quote one: was "doing her best" when I called back after the 2nd time she transferred me to a teacher voicemail while I was asking HER to call my daughter to the office to leave early for a doctors appointment...and she has been there for yearS, plural). Overall I have been EXTREMELY disappointed with every aspect with this school. Even the extra curriculars are thread bare, with little effort of staff to put any effort into anything. I'm not walking, but running out of this school district as quickly as humanly possible. I strongly suggest you do the same.

This is an excellent school! My daughter attended private school before. I heard great things about this school, so I thought I would ask for a tour. The principal, Mr. Ruiz, showed me around the school and spoke well of his teachers. He addressed all my concerns and was very informative about the school. It's a beautiful school! I took a chance, and have been so grateful I did. The teachers and administration have been so responsive to my daughter's needs. There are a good amount of after school programs, too. My daughter was in Destination Imagination! The coaches took so much pride in the kids.

This school has been great for my son 6th - 8th. I was concerned in the beginning because of the GreatSchools rating it gets, but it was a very pleasant surprise and has been a wonderful place for my son to learn. My son's teachers really had his best interest at heart all 3 years and I applaud all of them!! It's really too bad that the "bad eggs" who have no respect for authority, and give no effort in their school work, bring this school's reputation down. My son had a very positive experience here!!!

BPMS was great for my oldest child... although he graduated with low grades. He was prepared for high school and is no a fairly good student involved in athletics and has better grades. Although teachers need better involvement with parents they perform at their best. Now my youngest is attending and doing quite well..... thanks to all the teachers for their hard work
