I had an instance where my middle child was having some issues with a student. I brought it up to the building administration and it was dealt with immediately and effectively. I was kept in the loop the whole time and my son and i were happy with the way it was addressed.

I have three students who have three very different methods of learning. I have been fortunate enough to have found a school that understands and meet the needs of my kids. They are very smart and I am happy to see that the teachers are able to differentiate among the teaching methods but not the subject matter. Everyone learns the same material but in different ways.

From the principal to the school president, everyone is there for the benefit of the students. Expectations for everyone from the staff to the students are clearly identified and everyone is held accountable.

There are positive ideals and qualities that the students are exposed to and expected to follow. This is worked into everyday classwork and on posters throughout the building. The school is meant to be a safe and welcoming place for the students.

The teachers work to provide a true learning environment for the students. My son feels as though he can talk to the teaches and advocate for himself if needed without felling intimidated.

I am a believer in homework. Though, the kids shouldn't spend the entire evening doing it. The level and amount are effective enough to continue learning at home.

I live in North Chicago and I was looking for a private school for my children as they approached high school age. The attended elementary and middle school in North Chicago. My kids are pretty advanced and I needed a school that would effectively nurture and support their levels. I heard about CRSM through another parent and decided to check it out. I'm so happy that we did. My oldest son (Class of '15) is now a sophomore at an excellent highly selective university, I have a 9th grader at Cristo Rey now and my youngest will certainly be attending as well! They offer so many AP courses and the teachers are genuinely vested in the education of the kids. As a bonus, the school will be moving to a bigger and better location and we are so excited to be a part of the school.
