No homework at that age but very effective learning methods and approach. Along with the academic curriculum, students are exposed to geography, science, music, Spanish, and physical activities.

Amazing school with fantastic and loving teachers. Wonderful, clean, happy learning environment. I love school's philosophy and approach to the kids. The teachers not only teach kids about knowledge but also help kids learn to be more independent. The music class is outstanding with Spring Sing and Recognition Ceremony every year – INCREDIBLE!!!

Both my girl and boy went to Dayspring. Simply the best school around Glencoe/Winnetka/Northbrook. My girl is now doing great in grade 5 in Glencoe. My boy is only 5 and reads very well. Beyond reading, mathematics and Science the children also learn some Spanish. For a little extra, he also learns how to play Piano with a teacher who comes to school once a week. My wife and I got Ph.Ds from Cambridge, UK. This is to say that we are professionals like other parents at the school. We care a lot about education. After first trying other schools for my older girl, I could not have found a better school than Dayspring. This is a gem ...

We signed our twins up at Dayspring Montessori in the Primary Program and could not be more pleased. They have since been there only 8 months and have progressed beyond what I could ever imagine- academically, socially and in the practical life aspects. At 3 they are reading. At home they are so independent, they can do everything themselves. The directress and teachers of the school are dedicated to their students; and I have never seen a Montessori directress, who has had the experience of being a teacher herself, take so much pride and love in her school and her student's accomplishments. We have had one other experience with another Montessori in the Buffalo Grove area and the directress was more concerned about growing her enrollment. Not at Dayspring. This is a real school, where the teachers and children are passionate about learning and "working". My 3-year old would come to me and tell me what she worked on, and that it was her "challenging" work for the day. I've looked into many other Montessori schools and could never find that genuine love for education and strive for academic excellence like we've found at Dayspring.
