Poko Loko is a great school with an excellent staff. They have been like family to us. They set a great foundation for our children and really made sure they were prepared for elementary school.

I couldn't want more in a school for my children! Poko Loko is like a second family to us. They have helped our children grow and develop more and more every day!! Everyone on staff is super nice, loving and caring.

Poko Loko is a great school for my children. Both my children have been there since they were 6 weeks old, and I couldn't ask for a more loving atmosphere. They have learned so much in their time with Poko Loko. The staff is very loving and supportive. I like that my children run in every morning to give their teachers hugs. The curriculum they run is fun and full of interesting things. I would highly recommend Poko Loko to any families looking for a fantastic home away from home feel for their children!

I felt very sorry for my daughter since I chose this school for her. After she took this school for about 3 weeks, on weekend, she just sat on the stairs and whistled she didn't want to go to school. She was very sad. And she didn't want to be in the car since she thought she would be sent to this school. If I told her that we were on the way to school, she would cry and said "Mom, go home". I can't imagine how stressful she is. But I know what was going on the classroom. There is no hug from the teacher even if she was crying. One day, after school, I looked through the window and she saw me, she begun to cry. The teachers just sat in front of her and talked, no one stood up and comfort her. I open the door and the teacher said that she was fine, she just saw me and she started crying. Why was she crying when she saw her mom if she was happy at school? When I came over, she always said anxiously to me "Mom, take the coat and go home". Now we've changed to another school for one week and it's amazing that she likes that school. She is looking forward to be in that school in weekend. So how bad Poko Loko is.

Poko Loko is the most welcoming, cleaniest and structured center we have seen. We could not have picked a better school for our 2 children. Our girls are always happy to be there and the staff are awesome!! The Owners and Directors always make us all feel welcome and are helpful when needed. We are so blessed to have found a school that we all love:)

What a wonderful school!! My children have never been happier! The staff is very helpful and the owners/directors are wonderful. Everyone is always willing to answer questions I may have or offer advise. I am so glad I found Poko Loko and look forward to my children spending the next few years there until they go to first grade!!

Not a good center at all. The problem is really in the director/assistant director. Their lack of respect and rudeness toward the teachers sets the mood in the center. Some teachers are caring and helpful but others are just awful. With the owner not being at the center often enough, it creates a situation where little people have too much power and who lack people skills. Only after trying out a different center did I realize just how horrible this place was. I regret each day that my child attended this place! Everyday my child came home very hungry and tired. Please choose another center even if this one is convenient for you. --Submitted by a parent--------- I agree with this comment that was posted in 2008. The school is great and all of the teachers. The directors at the front desk are on a power trip. All they do is gossip. Unless a father walks in the school to drop off their child they light up and talk so sweet to them. I'm not sure if Peggy sees this it must be going on when she is not around. I love the school so much, but because of the two girls at the front desk I am taking my child to another daycare.

My daughter started at Poko Loke a little over a year ago and we have been pleased ever since. The transition for my daughter when she moved to Poko Loko was seamless thanks to the teachers in the toddler classroom. And now that she is in the 2 year old room she is having so much fun and we cannot believe how much she learns every day. The teachers provide us with great updates so we always feel like we know about her day. In addition, they also have fun activities and extra events going on for our dauther to participate in. And a great outisde playground! Poko Loko provides a great learning environment and a fun, energetic and playful place for our dauther to be every day.

Totally suitable in regards to safety of kids, academic program, and cleanliness of facility is outstanding. However, find the overall culture of staff is somewhat negative and at times director/assistant director are rude. Could use more TLC being a customer service oriented child care faciilty.

As a child health and safety consultant, the Poko Loko staff are very diligent in following state mandated diapering procedures, are very knowledgeable about infection control measures, and also common childhood illnesses. Often parents do not think about these topics when deciding on a childcare/school . When children are healthy they will learn at their full potential. This is just another reason why Poko Loko is such an outstanding early learning center.
