The teachers at this school are wonderful. The bullying policy needs to be revamped as I know of several students that were actively being bullied and nothing much was done about it and several parents were very unhappy with how the school was turning a blind eye to it. If your child has a learning disability or needs extra help, I would not recomend this school. I thought a small private school setting would benefit my child but the school said they do not know how to deal with it and do not have the manpower or resources to accommodate such a thing. Basically, if you have a lot of money to throw at the school, send your child, because they will get by with pretty much anything they want.

My children have attended this school for 6 years. It was the best move we ever made for them. Everyone knows every kids name, who their siblings are and the parents. We will continue to make any sacrifices we may have to, to continue their education here.

My children have attended SHS for more than 6 years now. My husband and I have been extremely pleased with the academics and care taken by the staff. The school provides a strict structured environment . The only negative thing I can say about the school are the parent clicks. Some behavior by these parents are appalling. So we steer clear of these social interactions with these groups.

While I do believe the school maintains a high academic standard it is equally important that staff are fully invested in the children. I feel that upper level staff at SHS are extremely motivated financially. I am unsure whether this is the sole agenda of the school or the diocese. Not only is parental input or assistance rarely accepted it may be spurned. Again, as the academic standards remain high I can only hope that upper level staff changes hands soon.

My daughter has attended SHS since Preschool. She used to love it, and my husband and I did too. Now she dreads going to school. The attitudes of the staff have really changed since Father Tom and Sister left. The teachers yell at the children, they must eat their lunch in silence with the lights off. The only input the principal wants from parents is financial. She is an ineffective leader and takes ZERO suggestions from parents, all the while making you feel like a kindergartener when you go to her with concerns. We are looking elsewhere where parents aren't seen as the enemy.

I attended this school years ago. My son is now attending. What a huge difference. It is not anything like when I attended. I am really not happy with the school.I know personally and have met many people in the community who have recently taken their children out of this school. I have experienced difficulty communicating effectively with the staff. The leadership is dictatorial and condescending. Parental input other than financially is discouraged or discounted. Saftey issues while the children are at recess including fighting....kicking, hitting each other with sticks and their fists , children running across the street leaving the school grounds without the staff monitoring the playground noticing.

My 6 year old son is in K and recently asked me if he could go back to Sacred Heart next year. When I told him yes he was, he thanked me!

We were unsure until we took the orientation tour. It was halfway through the school year and we were looking at "K" next year. We fell in love with the school immediately and enrolled our son in preschhol within the week. The entire staff is wonderful. Our personal goals for him were met and surpassed in two months. Needless to say he is already enrolled for next year. Simply put this school teaches from the heart !!
