Ware Elementary School

Ware Elementary is where my oldest learner started her academic career in preschool. The school is warm and welcoming to military children regardless of when they arrive in the school year. My favorite part about the school is how much it honors and respects military families and their hardships. We were sad to PCS but we are grateful for the teachers and staff who made my learner's experience memorable.

My son was so excited when he got a blind student in his class and it was all from his teacher educating the class on people with disabilities and what to expect and how to welcome them.

They are no tolerance and I am for that! Plus, they teach the kids on the different ways you can bully and how to prevent it and to say something when they see it.

I like that for the most part, the kids get homework everyday. It's usually reading, which is important, but I do wish they would give math homework.

This is our second year here and all the teachers this far are sweet, concerned, informative and very much student driven!

My kids are always telling me about something they are learning in regards to values and not bullying,etc.

Although reading is the main focus for all grades, I think 5th grade should have more to prepare them for middle school

Ware focuses on building relationships at home by only having students read for 20 minutes a night. They understand that students have been working hard all day long and are away from their families. They value relationships and quality instruction.

Overall teachers communicate with parents and let us know what is going on in the classroom. Our son has Mrs. Clinesmith (Kindergarten) and he loves going to school every day. Best feeling ever!

Ware celebrates PRIDE (Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Dependability, and Empathy) by doing class meetings and schoolwide positive behavior systems. The staff models positive character traits which is very important.

Mrs. Scofield and Mrs. Williamson take a proactive approach with the Ware community. They listen to parents and their staff and they always have the students’ best interest in mind.

Ware has the best paraprofessionals and support staff. They collaborate to meet the needs of every student.

The staff does what they can with counseling and classroom lessons along with communicating to the parents and keeping student information confidential.

We love Ware Elementary and couldn’t imagine sending our son to another school. The staff is friendly and you feel welcomed from the moment you walk in. We are thankful for a staff who truly goes above and beyond for their kids.

I had a son go to this school last year and now a daughter that has been there for 2 years! I will see i love the teachers! They are on top of everything! She was struggling with some stuff and the improvement is awesome! She comes home everyday talking about school and what she learned! She loves her teacher's.

I attended ware elementary in 1990-91. The faculty and staff members are very awesome people. very nice area and the school system was and still today is very impactful.

I was amazed by the tecnology in this school and the amount of effort that was put into helping my child. My son has an IEP and his classroom teacher (Mrs. Dressman, 1st Grade) goes above and beyond what what her job description is to help her student. The other staff are very friendly, upbeat, positive, and willing to help. I love the Ware Bear motivation system they used in my sons first grade class. His teacher was great at communicating with us. This is a great school and I am sad that we had to leave.

My Son started school at Ware Elementary! We are getting ready to PCS and we are both sad about leaving Ware! The two teachers (K-1) he has had have been so amazing and sweet! I absolutely love them and the communication between parents and teacher is great. I love how the do a reward system for positive behavior it works so great! I have had some issues there were the front desk staff seemed snotty and rude but I just brushed it to them hating their job or having a bad day. In the end my Son excelled and loved his teacher. I do have to say though after reading the reviews we have been there for 2 years and I have never met the principal!

Ware has some of the most energetic, positive, and friendly teachers I have encountered. Their use of Love and Logic in the classroom was a huge success for my son and my entire family. My son attended Ware for K and 1st grades. His love of reading was developed by the teachers at Ware. He will enter 4th grade next year at his 3rd school since Ware(tis our military life) and I still give a lot of credit for his success in school and life to Ware. Mrs. Bogenhagen and Mrs. Dressman are 2 of the most gifted educators I've ever met. Thank You Ware Bears!
