We are a military family and have had our children attend several schools over the years. Heritage has been such a blessing to our family. The teachers and staff truly seem to truly care for the students. Some of the parents have been cliquey and not very welcoming which is not uncommon when youre an outsider in a small town. Due to this I do not volunteer, that is the only negative aspect I can think of though. The staff on the other hand has been nothing but welcoming and the students have been welcoming to our kids as well. They have sports, clubs, AP classes, and college dual credit classes like a larger public school would have. Class sizes are great. Curriculum definitely prepares your kids for college. Perfect size to still feel like a small school yet with many of the perks of a larger school. This is not an area we plan on living long term since the military brought us here however we like HCA so much we will be staying in the area until our kids graduate. They are really thriving there and happy to be a part of the HCA Family.

Academics are great at this school but socially very toxic for my children.

I love HCA! I have three children that have attended since preschool. The teachers are qualified, the curriculum is challenging, and the atmosphere is safe and caring. The Biblically-based curriculum and Christian atmosphere is exactly what I wanted for my family. I wish all the schools in our country could teach Biblical principles and hold parents/students accountable the way that HCA does.

I'm actually a student at HCA and I would say I've had a great experience. 5/5 for me. It has helped me get a 29 on the ACT as a freshman, and I learn so much.

They give homework only when it's right and to teach students more

We are a military family. If you are like most of us, you are agonizing over the decision of where to send your child to school, and it's a decision you have to make every couple of years. My daughter just finished her 3rd grade year at HCA and our family couldn't be happier. Excellent academics - her class was always ahead of where her public school peers were. Loving environment - the staff squashes bullying before it has a chance to start. A real Christian atmosphere of acceptance - do your homework carefully, Christian parents! There are Christian schools in this area that do not allow female students to lead prayer because they believe that only men can lead prayer. This is not a message I want to send my daughters and I am so grateful that at HCA, my daughter is taught that she is an equal to her male classmates and not subordinate to them. I am so grateful that we will be here for another school year. My youngest will be attending their preschool in the fall. We love HCA. They wrapped their arms around our family and we couldn't be happier!
