When my child entered 6th grade at Bullitt Lick which was last year, he was bullied all year long…
Now my child is in 7th grade and a new principal at the school… I’m not happy with the dress code they have now. I understand some kids were wearing things to school that were inappropriate so we had to buy a whole new wardrobe just for school…
Since my child was in 6th grade to now, almost every day I’m hearing about a fight that happened in school… I feel this school needs to focus more on the bullying that is going on and the fights, and stop worrying about what size logo is on a shirt

The school is good if you are not black. The teachers do not really care about your race from what I have seen but the students are on different level. Most of the students attending are white I have only seen about 3 or 4 black kids in that school. I am mixed and the racism that I have experienced is horrible. The white students will constantly say racist slurs even when you ask them to stop and they will say racist things about black people. My friend who is black had got fed up and punched one girl that was laughing at the racist comments being made, she got in trouble and the white girl did not. Not all of the students are bad but a lot of them are. Most of the kids that go here are privileged and do not understand.

The worst experience for my child never heard of any school having no issues like this school.

Posted: August 19, 2018

Not homework is ever given very little actual teaching in class done. Students expected to figure things out on their own.

Posted: August 19, 2018

8th grade teachers were the worst by far in supporting, managing kids issues, expecting confusing complicated assignments to be done with little or no actual teaching. Very disorganized.

My rating is for the new Discovery School but you must be accepted in sixth grade. Bullitt county -- anyone living here can attend and will be picked so get your fourth and fifth graders credentials together They pick the top 70 In the county and groom them for gifted and exceptional studies. BAMS Bullitt math and science high school is not guaranteed but likely and a few of those have gone into Gatton Academy the highest rated school in the nation.

Bullitt Lick is truly a great school. Mr. Fulk and his dedicated staff have turned it completely around. Academics are challenging and discipline is tight. My child has thrived here educationally and socially.

My school is awsome. We are a team ,all the students and teachers work together to achieve out of this world goals. The student at BLMS work hard to become very well educated as well as the teachers. We all learn from each other every day. I think the only thing our sxhool could improve apon is lack of communication through students and teachers. Our school, Bullit Lick Middle School is great at working together though and making things happen . I love my school because, we have great and kind people that go there that love to learn and i love all my class periods and teachers . The people at blms help me learn and grow!! - Erica Wrin

Bullitt Lick Middle School has came along way to clean up their image. Bullitt Lick truly is on its way to be a number one school. My kids absolutely love their school and everything that is offered for their education. Mr. Fulk has really turned this school around and we are proud to say we're Bobcats!!

Bullitt Lick Middle School is becoming a great school with the help of the Principal Mr. Fulk and the all the teachers and other staff of the school. They will be a Top 10 school in Kentucky and also a Destination school.

Bullitt Lick Middle School has really came along way , my daughter Alexus was a student 2006-2008 it was a pretty rough school . At times that made it hard for her to be all she could be it was more focused on not having the worst kids in the county all under one roof. Now that my youngest daughter is in her 7th grade year last year she was on the Basketball team, Played volleyball and also ran Track. She has really had more oppertunity than her sister Alexus was offered . A lot of people like old students and new ones would like to see a new school to be built for all of the future kids of Bullitt Lick Middle School. It is a little old and out dated...however if that cant happen I would love to see Bullitt Lick Middle School receive any money they can to improve the school .First the front of the building as you walk up you have nothing inviting you in to the school. It needs to be jived up a bit pretty bushes ,flowers, maybe a colorful Bullitt Lick Middle School sign to show some school spirit to make you be proud to be a Bullitt Lick Bobcat ! Air conditioning in the gym would help out a bit not as much as working on the front of the school to invite the kids in each morning !

Friendly front office staff, excellent and caring teachers and administrators that are involved and heavily present in the building! School faculty and staff strive and expect nothing but the BEST from students, because they KNOW they are capable of GREATNESS!!!

This school is definitely on the way up!! Two years ago I was adamant on my child not attending middle school here. After much thought, many sleepless night, meetings with the new Principal, and a lot of prayers, we made the decision to send him to BLMS. As luck would have it, we made a wonderful choice and have been very pleased. Mr. Fulk, and many other faculty and staff, really want to see this school succeed and put to rest the awful reputation that has haunted it for so long. Their passion is evident and you can see that desire in my son as well. He has been blessed with wonderful teachers as well! There's a long road ahead, but I'm glad we made the decision to become a part of the journey!

What an incredible school to work at! This is a school truly focused on the learning and needs of its students. The staff works together to come up with new and exciting ways to challenge students as well as to fight the negative image of the past. Truly a school on the rise and moving full speed in the direction of success. We will be a destination school! But then again, based on the most recent parent comments, maybe we already are?

I has been 3 years since I have had a child at this school. When my son went here it was a good school, but as the years went by it I could see the problems, I was just glad to get out of there. We had discussed transferring my daughter to another school in the county because she has a hard time learning, but after discussing with some other parents that were there after my son left I decided to let my daughter go to it. I have heard nothing but great things now that we have a new principle.

My son loves getting up and going to Bullitt Lick every day! He is happy with all his teachers! The principal and teachers are very good talking to you and letting you know what is going on at the school. We love Bullitt Lick Middle School!

My children goto BLMS. We transferred back to BLMS from Eastside where they are nice and flashy, but don't have the best teachers like the Lick does. My kids get a great education here. Very appreciative of this school.

I am absolutely proud to work at this school. The community is wonderful, the culture is becoming vibrant, and we are doing great things with our students.

I am incredibly blessed to be working as a teacher at Bullitt Lick Middle School! This is my second year at BLMS, and the nurturing and supportive environment (i.e., the fantastic administration and other faculty members, the wonderful students, and the caring community) continually seems to both expand and flourish. Our principal, Rob Fulk, whose motivational style is second to none, truly believes that we ARE the "Destination School," and he leaves no room for doubt, encouraging all of us, students included, to give 100% each and every single day. Our scores and morale continue to climb as our suspension and disciplinary needs decline. This is the third school in which I have taught in my career, and this is the one where I intend to remain. I'm thrilled to say that I am a member of the BLMS Bobcat "family"!

Bullitt Lick is a student centered school with a highly skilled staff who loves and cares about the students. The school offers a variety of extracurricular activities and programs to get students involved. We are a family and have pride in the accomplishments of our staff and students.

I am so proud to say my children attend BLMS! It has become the best middle school in the county, and is well on it's way to being a top 10 school in the state. The leadership, teachers and staff really care about the students' success!

Since Mr.fulk has taken over the school, it has really done some good things, ms Conley was a good principal but mr Fulk is the type of principal that can make a school great!

Posted: February 6, 2012

BLMS had a leadership change in summer of 2011. Since Mr.Fulk took over at BLMS, ALOT has changed. He has taken the good foundation by Ms.Conley and built upon it. The staff is virtually new, young, and hungry to be an excellant school. students are learning, and everything seems to be going in the right direction.
