I started sending my children to Holy Angels Academy about 12 years ago. Two have graduated and I have three more still attending. I am excited to be a part of the Holy Angels family that wants all of us to get to heaven. Holy Angels Academy certainly is an example to be imitated. I am so grateful they teach the fullness of the Catholic faith and are not lukewarm. Additionally, they do extremely well in all other subjects like reading writing and math. My two children that graduated from Holy Angels are doing excellent in their new careers and college. Holy Angels has prepared them in the best way possible to continue to be great Catholics that contribute positively to our community.

As a parent of children at Holy Angels Academy, we love this school! The teachers and administration care about each student and want them to exceed in all areas- academically, spiritually, physically, and emotionally. HAA is truly Catholic and do an amazing job walking children through their faith journey. Because of the smaller school size, we feel like family and we were easily welcomed into the community. Would highly recommend this school if you're looking for a true Catholic education and academic rigor.

As an alumnus who had the blessing of attending Holy Angels from K-12, I can say with reputable authority that this school prepared me for real life, from progressing to my collegiate and professional degrees. The classical, Catholic education offered by compassionate, trustworthy, and intelligent teachers taught me to engage with the world in an authentically Christ-centered method that is both tolerant of others and simultaneously rooted in the love of truth.

Upon graduation, I attended two institutions that were not Catholic in their teaching. It is here that Holy Angels' formation shined the most. Because of the robust apologetics taught, I meaningfully engaged in caring discussion with individuals from all walks of life and found joy in re-discovering the lesson that Holy Angels Academy taught me years ago: that all are made in the image and likeness of God. I fully recommend that families send their kids to Holy Angels Academy – it is an institution of excellence.

Holy Angels Academy does more than care for the spiritual needs of its students; it also ensures that their physical and emotional needs are met. I am pleased to say that I have made lifelong friends with individuals from both the administration and other alumni.

THIS SCHOOL WILL 100% DISCRIMINATE AGAINST YOU IF YOU ARE LGBTQ+ AND WILL TAKE THEIR DISCRIMINATION OUT ON THE CHILDREN. THEY ARE NOT WELCOMING, THEY ARE BACKWARDS AND BIGOTED. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO THIS SCHOOL.

Holy Angels Academy is the gold standard in Catholic education. Everyone in the building has a desire, first and foremost, for my child to go to heaven. They work diligently every day to introduce my child to Jesus through truth, goodness, and beauty. Whether it is daily Mass, recess, or math class, everything is done through the lens of helping my child to grow in virtue to help dispose them to growth in Faith, Hope, and Charity. They balance academic excellence with wholesome fun better than anyone else in town. Praise God for Holy Angels Academy!

I believe this school and church has lost the true meaning behind being a believer in Jesus Christ. I feel they are a follower of “religion” and the practices they feel are important to teach and uphold. However at the the end of the day I t’s all about honoring God. Growing as christians. Staying by one another in community. Jesus Christ died so that our sins maybe forgiven. Who are we you judge and condemn others for theirs sins when we were so freely forgiven for ours. Your heart matters. God knows your heart.

We love Holy Angels Academy! I currently have two children at the school and they love going to school everyday. The teachers are kind, knowledgeable, and care about every one of their students. Small class sizes so the students get a lot attention in the classroom. Great Catholic atmosphere and take their Catholic faith seriously. The community is wonderful and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Holy Angels Academy is a wonderful school! I graduated from Holy Angels in 2006 and now my children are attending the school. Enrollment has increased dramatically in recent years and the faculty and staff has expanded. Holy Angels recently built a new, separate high school wing and a large, new library that is well equipped. The school continues to focus on educating children in the classical and Catholic tradition with an emphasis on developing the whole human person - body, mind, and spirit - so each student can reach peak human flourishing in this life and be prepared for eternal happiness in the next life. I am incredibly grateful for the education I received at Holy Angels and I'm overjoyed that my children are now experiencing the same!

All of my children have attended Holy Angels Academy and I would highly recommend it for anyone who is looking for an authentic Catholic education. The classes are small so there is an abundance of one on one interaction with the teachers (who are all highly qualified to teach in their specialties). The classical approach has produced National Merit Scholars and many scholarships to small and large colleges and universities. The students graduate able to think rationally and go on to become professionals who do quite well in their vocations. They also become Catholic adults who raise their families in the Faith. Parents looking for an education such as this would do well to look at Holy Angels.

An exceptional school that holds fast to the Faith and is a beautiful environment for our children to grow and blossom.

Everyone I've interacted with and had the chance to experience has all been very positive. I highly recommend Holy Angels as an institution that cares about providing the best possible education for our children.

Students with learning disabilities are bluntly told that they cannot be accommodated. Gifted students have no outlet and are held back with the rest of the class.

High school principal is incompetent and should be fired. The elementary headmaster does not consider any input from parents or teachers.

Posted: February 27, 2017

This is the one place this school shines - especially in grade school. Although there are other alternatives in town if this is the most important criteria for you.

Posted: February 27, 2017

Some teachers give zero, others pile it on. I can't tell you the number of times I've looked over homework and asked why this was necessary. In the worst classes, the homework never supports what will be covered on the exam, so the students enter unprepared.

I previously rated as 3-stars with the following comments: Accurate rating is difficult-this is a school you either love or hate. Traditional Catholic elementary and high school that promotes a classical liberal education. They do a good job maintaining a healthy learning environment and providing a "general purpose" education that will prepare kids for a wide array of college and career choices. They are somewhat strict with the children, not tolerating questionable behavior. They put an extremely high emphasis on the Catholic part of their education, so be forwarned if you are non- or nominally Catholic. On the other hand, this culture also leaves very little room for the students to get into mischief, so that is good. The school is small and has few resources. Quality of teachers varies widely. There is no shop class, band, AP courses, or computer center. Art and music are practically non-existent. Heavy focus on Latin and Religion. Very few options available in course offerings. In short, I think the school is great for authentic Catholic faith and reading/writing/comprehension skills, but lacks in their ability to challenge gifted students, offer support for remedial students, or provide any type of exposure to modern technology.

3 years later, I've updated to 1-star. This is primarily a reflection of the high school portion of the school. While there are a host of little issues that this space couldn't possibly hold, here are the big items:

- The high school principal (Mr. Dubil) is inept and incompetent. I know of 5 students in 4 years that he has messed up their college and/or scholarship applications by sending in the incorrect transcripts and test scores.
- The grade school headmaster (Mr. Norton) actually controls everything. They claim they are governed by a school board, but the board consists of teachers that report to the headmaster, so there is no real discussion on school decisions.
- The curriculum is deficient, meaning graduating students are not eligible for KHEAA money for college.
- The school is small and underfunded (and dwindling), meaning they don't have the funds to hire competent teachers and administrators. They double book teachers/classes, and I have had to do the job I'm supposed to be paying them to do because when classes are double-booked, one class is told to just read the book and figure it out for themselves.

Holy Angels has provided an excellent Catholic education to my children for the last 22 years, from kindergarten through high school! Catholic life permeates the entire school day - not just the religion and catechism classes. The classical education has prepared our children for the rigorous study and critical thinking that has been demanded of them in their academic and professional pursuits. Needless to say we have been extremely pleased academically, but more importantly, spiritually. Our sons who have graduated have gone on to excel in college, graduate school and their professional careers. These adult sons have remained loyal orthodox practicing Catholics, sharing the truth about Catholicism to those they encounter. We look forward to witnessing the same success for our youngest children as they take their Holy Angels education and experience with them.
