There is no special education services. Teachers are good people and try their best. Some are able to make learning fun. Social Emotional is dependent on the adult. Overall it could be ran better and actually follow what it says it does. Some people im sure rated it a 5 bc they are just been appeased at the moment.

We love VSL! The hands-on projects and focus on joyful learning make such a difference. My daughters love going to school each day. They especially look forward to weekly forest school. We appreciate the nurturing staff that make our children feel seen and loved. Its rare to find a school that makes kids this excited to get into the classroom every morning. VSL truly is a special place to grow!

The Village School of Louisville has been a wonderful experience for our family. In upper elementary, my son found genuine joy and friendships. Sara, Erin, and Whitney welcomed him just as he was, and the trust they built with him and with my husband and me was truly life-changing during his 5th and 6th grade years. Once he felt that sense of connection, he began to push himself and grow in ways we hadnt seen before.

I also have a family member who recently started in JK and is already experiencing that same sense of inclusion and happiness. The Village School continues to be a place where children are not only taught, but deeply understood and valued.

My child loves VSL and joyfully runs into the building each day. The teachers care for their students and provide an individualized approach to learning. I love that the school emphasizes being outdoors which allows my child to incorporate classroom learning outdoors, too! The learning is always occurring in gentle but deep ways.

My student sees the relevance and applicability of what they are learning to their community and their lives and they are far more engaged because of it. Intellectually rigorous and encourages the pursuit of student passions!
