I love this school, They have been great, to my kids, any issues i have they are open to listening and addressing then coming up with a resolution. The principal Mrs. Tariquino is absolute the best... she takes her time and listens to any issue. She is very reasonable, one thing i love about the school, is that they are committed to having the most successful students. This is not a pipeline to prison school, they are actually invested in your child's well being in all ways. I love how protective they are towards the students, showing ID to check out a child. I love how you can communicate with the teachers about my child's learning experience good or bad. They have after school EAGLE academy that offers more assistance to your child's learning , where they get assistance with homework, feed them, and do other activities. so when your child comes home its family time no stress of cooking and home work before bed. I absolutely love WOODLAND! I have 2 kids in this school and they love school and learning. i choose woodland out of all other schools in the area because i know they care about my kids and their learning. the thing that stands out the most is that they are committed to always bettering the learning environment. another thing i love is that even if your child has had a bad year the previous year they show support that your child can change , the next year its a fresh new year. any student that attends this school is super blessed .

I HAD two children enrolled at Woodland Elementary. It was a nightmare, multiple bullying issues that were not taken care of at this school and my children suffered daily. Teachers also force their Political Views down the students throats. Both of my children came home and said their teacher was speaking about our President and how awful he was and this particular teacher referred to different ethnic groups in horrible slang terms. My children repeated such slang terms and I had to quickly rectify the situation. Still this teacher is working there. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD(REN) TO THIS SCHOOL!

Too much regimentation. This discourages child taking any leadership. It never inspired it.

See remarks in #3. Poor leadership is reflected in the way staff interact with students

After more than one notification of problem they did.

I would gladly pay a tuition to take the child elsewhere. Yes, it is that bad

Same question about childs progress may not get same answer. Very unhappy with the level of encouragement given to child by teachers. If something is wrong we know it right away. If the child does well at something you may never know it.

When my child had a minor issue with another child the assistant principal went to great lengths to hear every side of the story and make an informed decision.

This school offers great opportunities for my child to develop and excell! They work hard to keep the children challenged and continually keeping them hard at work to do their best and make their best even better!

This school stinks as much as my lover's sweaty socks. They take into account not having homework in late, but whether or not kids wear uniforms correctly?! Wow. My child is telling me how the other kids in her class are rude, and her teacher never really cares. She's picked on for her conditions, and no one cares? Bull! This school is a horrible one for these two reasons, but also gives low activity. My kid excels in all areas, is never actually challenged, and does nothing but sit on her bottom all day!

Woodland has to be one of the better schools in this area. My daughter enjoys going to school, and always tells me how wonderful her day was. She has attended this school 2 yrs now and I have loved every teacher she has had. If they don't feel she is being challenged they find other resources to make sure she is. She exceeded her grade level in every subject last year and I can't wait to see her reach for the stars this year. Thanks to the wonderful staff at Woodland I am grateful. I am one proud mom!!
