Both of my children started in PreK and graduated in the 8th grade. The academic program is excellent and prepared them for high school. Being able to be involved in many of the sports programs was also a benefit. More importantly, they had many leadership opportunities within the clubs and organizations they were a part of during their years there. The friendships that were made were more like family and will continue into their adulthood. Alexandria Country Day excelled in teaching the whole child and shaping them into well rounded individuals!

Alexandria Country Day School is a premier independent private school in Central Louisiana. Not being originally from the area, and being an educator, I did extensive research regarding all schools in the area when we relocated. As a parent I could not be more pleased with the comprehensive education my child is receiving. I know ACDS was the right choice of us.

There was a time when there was alot of homework, but as the school is constantly improving and teachers learning the best practices, this has diminished significantly. We spend no more than 20-30 minutes nightly, often less or none, for a 3 Rd grader.

The school supports staff in going to conferences and learning effective and innovative teaching techniques. The teachers know each student and their strengths and weaknesses.

Like all schools, or any environment with children, bullying can happen, but the school has chosen to be proactive with character development as well as the implementation of a discipline committee to deal with instances of behavior issues.

Our son is a first grader at ACDS. We are beyond impressed with every aspect of this school! It is, in our opinion, the best school in all of central Louisiana. The faculty is top notch, the curriculum challenging and engaging, and the families are kind and inviting! We look forward to being a member of the ACDS family for many more years to come.

I think this school is a great school for kids that want to be challenged in learning. Alexandria Country Day School offers many great extra curriculum activities such as Piano, BasketBall, Softball, Baseball, and Cheerleading.
