Everything is totally ignored including by the school board. Elm Grove elementary isn't even a joke it is a total disregard to everything educational. From the administration to the teachers (if you call them that) 0 stars. No support, no advice, all lessons are to be taught by the parents.

Complaints are ignored. Emails and phone calls to the principal go unanswered. Your child must have video/photographic proof before teachers will be held accountable.

This used to the best school in the parish, but the new administration is scared of teachers and the tail definitely wags the tail. The teachers can get away with hitting kids, yelling, not entering grades, losing papers, etc. and it takes a call to the school board to get anything resolved. The administration needs to take control back. At the very least, teachers should be required to respond to emails/phone calls. What is sad, is there are a good group of teachers that are amazing, but even they are discouraged as the bad apples get away with poor behavior.

I'm still waiting for the return of my daughter's ID from the bully that has shoved and yelled at another student without any consequences.

Through use of google classroom, they are able to disperse assignments with instructions. Unfortunately, I had to add my daughter's email account to my phone in order to access it and have assignment dates default to my calendar. They never sent out parent set up instructions.

I feel like it would be unfair to rate teachers in general at this school. It's not possible to rate those with which I have not interacted with. So far, their ability to teach seems average

Student theft and bullying is poorly addressed. These are things that require prompt attention to prevent escalation and to instill integrity amongst the students.

I have insufficient evidence to rate this category.

This is the worst school I've ever had to deal with. They're all talk and no action. Their paperwork might be in order, but they definitely don't handle their business.

this school is terrible for bullying.... there is little done to stop it except for the annual anti-bullying campaign....and it is ineffective. Kids are terrified to "Snitch" in fear of further bullying by the bullies friends.... That said, there are some incredible teachers here... that engage the student.

Teachers should be allowed to write up kids if they are a disruption to the class. Calling home only does so much. The teachers at EGMS are great, but they need support from the administration. Louisiana has a law concerning the "right to teach." There also needs to be a law regarding "the right to learn."

I am saddened and disgusted after all of the glowing things I always heard about EGMS to say that my son has been systematically bullied by students for the past two years. I question their instruction and methods in the classroom as well as discipline. I've had phone calls from 2 teachers in 2 years. Not acceptable.
