This school is absolutely horrible. We have had the WORST EXPERIENCE with second grade. The teachers dont communicate, they expect WAY too much for 8 year olds. The curriculum is horrible the common core math is HORRIBLE

We have enjoyed this year at Platt. From the teachers to the front office and the principals. Everyone has listened and gave recommendations for situations that have came up. They have handled any issues promptly and efficiently. I feel comforted and secure knowing they love and support my child while i am working and i know he is safe. Thank you for all you do!

Terrible. Teachers themselves are good people. We very much liked the teachers as a whole, but the curriculum and atmosphere are not worth it.

School sent home lots of homework with poorly worded questions that cause us as parents to have to call in and figure them out.

Teachers care. That I cannot doubt. However, the ZEARN program limits them to allowing students to work ahead. Teachers teach to the tests, not to the students and what they need to learn to be effective.

Students get 1 recess and are restricted on when they are allowed to even talk during lunch hour. Sportsmanship does not seem to be taught or enforced during the volleyball games.

Leadership at this school was very indifferent to us when we called asking questions. We took forever to find which bus we would be on and what stop it would come to because the school had the wrong number put down and the driver never responded to the email they said she would.

Our student came from a different state loving math, reading, writing and everything about his classrooms. They received awards for what they did and felt proud of themselves. Here, they got awards only for being an A/B student and were never recognized for anything else. They became disheartened almost to the point of giving up trying to help others, work hard to get ahead or even do extra things. They got in trouble for even working ahead because ZEARN does not allow that. Needless to say, we will not be coming back to this school.

Bullying happened on the bus, bus driver did nothing about it and even though school was informed, they said they had no control over it.
