Since they disabled Google reviews, I will re-write my review here to protect families from enrolling at this school.
My son was enrolled in Broadmoor Stem for the 2024-25 school year for just a few months. During this time, he was stabbed, choked multiple times, targeted, beat up, mocked, and bullied due to the belief that he was gay. Due to this rumor, the teachers actively looked the other way and allowed all of it to happen. My son started placing himself near teachers to hope it would stop or slow down, it didn't because the teachers truly do not care about the safety and wellbeing of students in this school. They don't report ANYTHING to keep their school grade up. My son told us about countless fights and even teachers being assaulted by students. We were shocked to find out the incident of him being stabbed and needing medical attention wasn't even in his file. When we would go to the school about these issues, my son was called "a problem". We caught teachers lying and making up stories on several occasions so we decided to record them and brought all the voice recordings to the school board. They refused to release video footage of my child being jumped, my son telling a teacher, and nothing being done about it. Instead the gym teacher, who my son told, lied and said my son never talked to him. The school board had to get on them about ever thing. My son ended up getting an "academic" transfer to Youree middle even though it was for safety reasons. Since the "problem" left Broadmoor Stem, he has been consistently an honor roll student and has yet to experience violence in Youree.
I would homeschool and wait for placement testing before I would ever let any of my children step foot in this school ever again.

If you are in the Shreveport area, do your best to keep your kid out of this school for their physical well-being. My kid frequently comes home with bruises from being attacked by other students and has only learned that reporting behavior like that will get him in trouble.

This school is an amazing school! the teachers are nice, funny, and love the students. the students are amazing to be with, the staff is absolutely amazing, I don't know why people say Broadmoor is a bad school because it is actually an amazing school!

Terrible school! The principal is more concerned with keeping up appearances and creating an image for herself than the school. My special needs son was mistreated by his teacher and the paraprofessionals in the classroom and nothing was done about. Instead the principal got upset with me because I went over her head and eventually was able to get my child in to another school. The kids at this school are very unruly and cruel. They are always fighting each other, but this school's only concern is if your jacket color matches your uniform shirt color. This school needs to focus on the bigger issues like their low test scores and underperformance compared to the other schools in the parish.

This school is being ran by a woman who is more concerned with appearances than anything else.
The school lunches are absolutely disgusting, but yet the teachers lounge has more snacks and parties than Sam’s club.
Constantly spending money fixing the looks of the school instead of investing in better school materials.
Expect your children to be searched by police/dogs at least every week.
The actual principal doesn’t care about these kids. Instead she cares about forming opinions about children. Definitely in it for the wrong reason.
The amount of sex that’s spreading amongst this middle school is crazy, over half the fights between the females, are over boys, which granted is not the schools fault but they do nothing to help stop it.
My child is currently always in A honor roll always straight A’s, please explain to me how on her testing she isn’t even hitting satisfactory. The thing is, these teachers are aware that the kids arnt being taught close to anything on the testing paperwork. So my child having to do special tutoring to hopefully hit even on her scores so we can go from there. Caddo Parrish needs to do better on its schooling. Shut this school down and fire the principle.

Broadmoor is a terrible school run by terrible administrators. Their do-nothing policy has only made the kids realize that they can literally do anything they want without fear of repercussion. I would never send my child back and would not recommend anyone who loves their child to send them to Broadmoor.

Great school!!! Broadmoor is the place to be, They thave the best teachers by far than other any middle school in caddo, Parents make the right chice send your childto BMLS.

My daughter has really developed into an independent, educated, and talented 8th grader here. I enjoy the close relationships I have formed with all of her teachers as well as other staff. They really know each child individually. There isn't anything the teachers won't do to make sure your child succeeds. Just take a look at their test scores! Awesome choice if you're looking for a great middle school where our child can be more than just a face.

I think that BMLS is a fantastic school with amazing teachers that not only teach and help the students learn a lot, but also connect with the students personally! I highly recommend that you send your child to this school because your child will learn plenty of useful things!

The 8th grade teachers are amazing at preparing my child for LEAP and for high school! I have never seen such intensity and confidence in my child. They ALL know their content, and they ALL will do anything to help my daughter succeed!

Sure, Broadmoor needs a remodeling, but it's not like money grows on trees. Have you ever heard that saying, if you work for something you will succeed. That is why we are trying our hardest to improve our campus. That is why I believe Broadmoor is the right way to go, at first when I attended Broadmoor i wasn't so certain I would miss this school one bit. Now, I think it improved so much. Many great teachers making us go above and beyond. You learn so much from Broadmoor, I highly think we don't deserve a 3 out of 10. I feel like we can do so much better.

GROWING, IMPROVING, GETTING NOTICED!! Get on board and be a part of it! We are getting positive media attention, State Senators and other "big wigs" are coming to our campus to see how we are doing it! We are now an option instead of a have-to school! Come see what we are all about!

My daughter began her school career with an enthusiastic attitude but it quickly soured and she turned into one of those children bored with the entire institution of structured learning and only participated as a means of spending time with her friends. Since she began attending Broadmoor Middle Lab, she has bounced out of bed every morning and is ready to go on time instead of me having to give her warnings as to how much time we have remaining before we have to be out the door. She raves about the teaching styles each of her new instructors use and about what new things she is learning every day. She can't wait to participate in classroom activities or even after school activities (she is currently trying out for the softball team), she wants to be a part of this school in every way possible because this school seems to be giving her the educational nourishment she has been seeking all of these years. As a parent, I feel terrible for not seeking out such a place for her sooner but I cannot express my excitement and sense of pride at seeing her so happy and engaged. For my daughter, this school seems to be an absolutely perfect fit!
