My experience has been a little of both I've heard from teachers and students about the lack of discipline and holding students accountable. Parents aren't involved when the school provides several ways to be involved. The communication could be better amongst staff members to keep everyone on the same page. Communication needs improved across the board parents, students and teachers. Principal needs to get more involved I rarely saw him the times I was at the school my child saw him. There needs to be an improvement in organizing and communication. Teachers need to be more hands on and appreciate their position and see it more than a paycheck. Take time to invest in themselves and thejr classrooms and maybe it will change how the child feels. They are their to not only teach reading, math, science but to teach life long lessons stop just giving busy work and really teach take the time out to show the students something. This school isn't what I thought it was and I believe sending my child damage them more than helped.

We love Turner. Such a family atmosphere. We are proud to send our children to a school that cares about their well being as much as their education in these times.

I love the way the teachers care about teaching our children.

I would never recommend this school to any parent. I have three boys going to this school and the teachers feel that they have the right to hit on the children when they do not respond to them or yell at them... Had to send a letter to the teacher letting her know don't yell at my child when want him to.do something, he doesn't respond to yell and this will cause him to shut down and now do nothing... Those teachers up there need to go back to whatever they did before because clearly this is not the job for them and I will be trying to remove my children from this school next year. Do not have time for the bull that the teachers bring to the classroom.

Such a bad school, I went to Turner from 2007-2010 some of the teachers were nice but the students were horrible. I understand why it's rated a 2. I'm glad I'm out of there now. -anonymous

three words WORST SCHOOL EVER!!!! on my first day in the 6th grade everybody was talking about me and they made me lose my confidence. Those kids are rude and im so happy that i got taken out the 2nd day i was there because i HATED it. I cried the 1st and 2nd day. I wasn't going to last a year at that school. I go to a private school now and it was the best choice my parents made. I love it there and i love all the teachers. I made 4 friends the first day at my new school. At Turner i made NONE!!!. Don't go to Turner

Turner elementary was THE WORST!!!! We were only there for 2 days and a boy punched my daughter in the eye. We took her out of there right away. . DO NOT let your child attend Turner Elementary, The kids are fighting and cussing and your child doesn't need to be around that kind of environment.
