This school is beyond TERRIBLE. The teachers do not teach, the food is disgusting, and the school is nasty. The science teacher in 7th Grade needs to GO, and he's not the only one.

I am an Alumni of Southeast MagneT Program for 2015/2016 school year. The teachers in the program are very fun and easy to get along with.

This was my child's first year attending Southeast Middle. She's in the magnet data program. I must admit that I'm very pleased! My child was not interested in reading whenever she came to this school. However now I catch her in her room reading books. Chapter books on/and above her level!!!! I like that they hold the students accountable for AR points by providing a grade and not just recognizing them at the end of the school year with a certificate. Another awesome factors about Southeast Middle- they keep the parents informed & involved. Southeast Middle School You Rock!!

Mrs. Boyd and Mr. Hayman do a good job with the magnet program. You can tell they care.

They have a positive approach to discipline and really work with challenging kids.

They are knowledgeable about technology and Google Apps.

The school gives homework, but it isn't so much that it creates stress for the child.

The magnet program is one of the best in Baton Rouge. The administration and staff really care about the kids. There are so many great classes like broadcasting and photoshop that my son never got bored. They feed to Lee Magnet, which is even better!

This will be my child's 2nd year in the magnet data and technology program at Southeast Middle School. I would recommend this program to other parents who want to see their child get a good education in a caring environment. Your child will be challenged academically and provided with the best tools to succeed.

Alumni of the class 2015-2016. I attended the magnet program and immediately fell in love with the school. The teachers are very nice and caring towards the students. The Physical Education is by far the best I seen throughout my 14 year life. I hope you consider sending your kids to Southeast

I came in for Orientation and the front office staff was rude to me and my son I really didn't want him going there after the horrible stories I had heard but I decided to get it a try and I am so disappointment with the staff and they were so unorganized. But I am looking for a better school for him to attend at least by mid-quarter.

All of the teachers and staff from Mrs. Amber Boyd down that I have dealt with are sincere and really want the children to learn and get along with each other.

I am a student of Southeast Middle School and I am so glad this is my first and last year here. My oldest brother and sister both attended Southeast and was very disappointed when I transferrred from Woodlawn Middle to Southeast Middle. The teachers there don't really care about any of the students unless they are the kids who don't do anything and always do their work. They play favorites and don't do anything to help the students pass and prepare for high school (last time I check that's what middle school was for..preparing kids for high school right?). Now don't get me wrong there are some teachers there that actually bend over backwards to make sure kids pass and do things to actually help and benefit them. But that percentage of teachers is VERY low. To me it seems that all MOST of the teachers CARE about is their PAYDAY and GETTINGSTUDENTS OUT OF CLASS AND SUSPENDED. Another thing is, some of the teachers STRETCH THE TRUTH about what ACTUAL HAPPENED and WHY that student is in trouble. This school isn't a good school as a whole, physically, academically, the teachers don't behave mature and as a team sometimes, and MOSTLY no one is doing it for the kids. ~Ayoo Clutch'Major!
