To begin with, I am a current student at DMS. To start, the school has good and bad parts in general. Despite children smoking in the bathroom and fights going on. I am glad to say that the current school is doing an amazing job at disciplining students and caring for others. I love how the counselors are so caring, especially the current one. However, there are a lot of cases of bullying but I recommend making the right friends who will stay by your side whenever you need them. Honestly, the teachers do great work at teaching their students and being there to help them when needed. I wanted to specifically talk about the ELD teacher, Mr. Caraveo. He is one of the best teachers that teaches here at DMS. I wanted to start by saying he cares about you passing the ELPAC and even though he seems pushy, he just wants the best for you and your future. You rock Mr. Caraveo! Finally, my overall review is that it's a great school compared to other schools at Hemet, and would recommend DMS as your first choice!

My nephew attends DMS. He's a pretty good student. However, I'm very concerned that he is not being challenged because he never brings home any homework. How can he possibly do it all at school or on the bus? Can't happen! He should at the very minimum have math and science & english/Lit homework every day! How does this prepare him for college?

I did not like the way that this school ran. The rules weren't enforced well, some of the teachers are rude and treat you like little kids, and it's disorganized. You had absolutely NO FREEDOM to do whatever. You had to sit with your homeroom for lunch, you have to have your Student ID to get your lunch (you are last if you don't have your ID), you can't bring your backpack around to classes, and you can't even enter a classroom without a teacher. The counselors are nice, but not always helpful. The administrators are friendly, but they don't always enforce rules that need to be enforced. Don't get me started with the special education staff! They are rude and they treat you like little kids! All this school cares about is MCAS, MCAS, MCAS; forcing you to take really pointless classes like Tech. Ed. (which boasts to teach kids the stuff for the Science, Technology, Engineering session of the 8th Grade MCAS), MCAS Math and English (which is a waste of time), and Academic Support (which did not help me at all, again, it's another waste of time). This school is not for kids who are academically challenged or have special education.
