Moving from New York to District Heights Elementary School was a big change for my daughter, but the school made the transition smooth and positive. The teachers are caring, the staff is welcoming, and the academics are strong. She quickly made friends and is thriving both socially and academically. Im very happy we chose District Heights Elementary School!
As a parent, I couldnt be happier with District Heights Elementary School. The teachers here truly go above and beyond they dont just teach, they care deeply about each students growth and success. My daughter has been supported, challenged, and encouraged every step of the way.
The staff creates a safe, welcoming, and positive environment where kids are excited to come to school every day. Communication with parents is excellent, and I always feel included and informed. The diversity of the school makes it feel like a true community, and its clear that every child is valued and respected.
Academically, District Heights Elementary School is impressive. The teachers focus on strong reading and math skills while also encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and confidence. My child has grown tremendously not only in academics but also in character and independence.
I highly recommend District Heights Elementary School to any family looking for a place where children are supported, respected, and given every opportunity to shine. This school is truly a blessing to our community!

My experience with this school has been extremely disappointing. The teaching is consistently poor, and to top it all off, you have to wait in a ridiculous carline for over 40 minutes just to pick up your kid.

This is a great community school that really cares about its children and the parents. I really like their family engagement programs. The teachers are responsive and truly concerned about your childs education. I really dont understand the negative reviews. My grandson has attended here since kindergarten and we have enjoyed every year of him being there.

I see all the negative comments about District Heights Elementary, but my experience with this school and the staff have been great. The principal and the teachers are very concerned about the children and their education. If there is something that needs to be addressed, they are all open to comments and suggestions. I would recommend this school for elementary age children. Any school is as good as the parents involvement as well.

DO NOT SEND OUR CHILDREN TO THIS SCHOOL. THIS SCHOOL SHOULD BE CLOSED. YOUR CHILD WILL NOT LEARN PEOPLE SKILLS IN THIS SCHOOL. THE ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF DON'T USE ANY. IF THEY DON'T USE ANY HOW MUCH WILL THE PRINCIPAL USE.

The new principal is amazing but the school needs to be shut down. Don't send your child to this school !!!!! PG county PLEASE shut this school DOWN! Our children are suffering....
