Longfields Elementary School has been a wonderful place for both of my children. My son attended from 3rd through 5th grade in the TAG (Talented and Gifted) program, and my daughter was there from kindergarten through 5th grade, later transitioning into the TAG program as well.

One of the most outstanding aspects of Longfields is the principal’s dedication and personal connection with students. She is incredibly supportive and knows every child’s name, which creates a warm and welcoming environment that truly sets the tone for the whole school.

The teachers are communicative, caring, and deeply committed to their students’ success. My children benefited from enriching educational trips and hands-on learning experiences that made school exciting and meaningful.

Longfields Elementary is more than just a school. It’s a supportive community where students are known, valued, and encouraged to reach their full potential. We are so grateful for the strong foundation it provided for both of our children.

Mrs. Bell is awesome and loves the children at her school. Mrs. Berg is dedicated and experienced teacher who is responsive to parents concerns and push our kids to reach their full potential. The TAG program is, so far, all that we had hoped for and this school is definitely a hidden gem.

We have 3 years of experience with this school. We are very pleased with the attentive and responsive staff. It is a small school and they know each student. I appreciate that my child receives challenging and meaningful instruction. Students are assigned projects and reports to help them develop the skills and knowledge needed for higher grade levels.

My child has been assulted several times at this school, the children bully a lot especially new students.

Teachers need to supervisor the students. Children who hit and bully should be suspended!

When incidents happen at this school the teacher is never around to see it. They depend solely on students accounts.

At the first indication that I felt my child might need services a meeting was called immediately without delay.

The homework seems reasonable and my child does not seem to be overwhelmed.

The administration has been one of the best I have worked with since my children have begun going to elementary school. My daughter attends the TAG program and is in 5th grade. The teachers and TAG coordinator or both pleasant and responsive. I have had teachers respond to my messages even at the late hours of the night. I wish we had sent our daughter here sooner.

My experience with the registration process was horrible. My daughter is attending this school through the T.A.G. program and I had to jump through hurdles getting her registered. I initially took her record with all necessary documents about two week before school started and left them with Ms. Gray to give to Mr. Owens (the registar). I called the follow Monday to see if my daughter was registered and ready to start the first day of school but I still had problems getting answers, after several messages left for the registar, visits to the school and her records being misplaced, she was finally registered about a week after school started. All thanks to the counselor Ms. Richardson she was a huge help in expediting the process. I thought that was the end of my problems. Then came my issues with requesting transportation. Long story short transportation was not requested correctly I spoke to Ms. Owens again and she assured me everything was done, but it wasn't. On our next conversation she apologized and said she make a mistake and she'd get it taken care of right away......So now I wait. I pray this is the last of my worries and issues with Longfield Elementary.

So far so good... This is my child's first yr at the school. He is coming from a private Christian school so I was looking for an environment that would challenge him as well as nurture him (he is in 2nd grade). I will admit the registration process had some challenges but that is due to the school not having a full-time registrar. I took my concerns to the principal and all was well within 24hrs. The principal and staff alike have high expectations of the students as do I of my child and they seem to have the same standards as we do at home. I even popped in to 'observe' the teachers and my child in the classroom (neither knew I was there) as was impressed. They also have a fun-filled calendar with an active PTO so I am looking forward to a great year!

This is a great school! My son has been a student at Longfields for 3 years in the TAG program. The quality of his education is top notch. His teachers are energetic knowledgeable and make learning fun; from field trips to unique projects they find different ways to teach the students. Also, the foreign language and music classes are a huge plus. We struggled with taking our son from his zoned school to move him here but I know that was the right decision.

this school actually satisfies me and i absoulutley love the clubs the school has like GEMS mentouring program for girls. the program guides my daughter by doing fun things and sitting down to have talks, just for girls! i also like MOT that guides and mentours my son to become a good child and a good man in the future. this school's testing scores are good and i love the way the teachers sit down with my child so they know exactly what to do. i think this school was a good decision for my child.
