I hadn’t experienced any issues until recently, but when I reached out to the office, I was inspired by the warmth and professionalism of the person who answered the phone. She took the time to ask for my contact information and immediately reached out via email to both the principal and the counselor, ensuring I was included in the communication.

I was truly grateful that all the essential parties prioritized attending the meeting, arriving on time and eager to engage. They listened attentively to my concerns and took swift action to address them. It fills me with joy to know we have a dedicated and compassionate team at our school, genuinely committed to nurturing our children and fostering a strong sense of citizenship. I am incredibly appreciative of their efforts.

Our son completed the Science Technology Engineering & Mathematics Program in 2014 & was more than prepared for college. The AP classes taken were also instrumental in his college preparatory. Extracurricular activities abounded and every student receives attention needed to succeed, be they intensive SPED, ESOL, CRI, Stellar Award winning choir, Outstanding Band/Orchestra, Hall of Fame Air Force ROTC, Culinary Academy, Business/Finance Academy, Communication/Media Academy, outstanding Athletics Programs, etc. Brand new LEED state of the art facility built in 2013-14 Academic Year, 900 seat auditorium, dance studio, music wing, new instruments, Google Chrome Books for all students, hundreds of resources allowing EVERY student success. Active business & community support. Awesome Alumni & Parent Teacher Student Association. Excellent leadership under Dr. Jean-Paul Cadet who brought back excellence growing scholars who are college & career ready. A staff of truly dedicated individuals who go above & beyond for EVERY student's success & preparation. Much sought after even by those outside the school boundaries.

As a senior parent, I am overjoyed with ALL my son has learned at Oxon Hill High School. The parent friendships & students I have added to my family are beyond the LOVE, I ever imagined. OHHS administration is DECIDATED to educating our students. The levels our students have reached due to our GREAT LEADER Dr. Jean Paul Cadet is a list too long to be written here. He was awarded the 2015 Washington Post Newspaper Distinguished Educational Leadership Award. Dr. Cadet has given his LIFE for our students, spending early days and late nights to be the difference our students, teachers, and community needs. I feel comfortable knowing that under this kind of leadership my son and others are safe to go out into the world and make us PROUD! I pray for OHHS to continue producing doctors, lawyers, actors, inventors, singers, musicians, and creative artists that have been home grown and raised, right here in Oxon Hill, Maryland.

I am happy that this is my daughter's last year at this school. While I receive many calls alerting parents of the rules, regulations, and school codes, I have yet to witness the grand leadership of the principal, Dr. Cadet. He has missed 3 significant events, including tonight's Senior Inauguration. We were that today he is celebrating his birthday so he would not be in attendance. Wow! Inexcusable! Missing events, and there is sooooo many more inconsistencies. Be the leader that you project! It matters!

I am a current Sophomore in the Science and Technology program at this school. This is probably one of the best schools you can go to. You may hear some bad reputation coming from this school, but, what school doesn't? Don't let those stray you away from going to the school. Since the new building was built this year, the school has made new zoning, so, the school population has downsized creating a less overpopulated school. Our choir IS the best in the country ( we have won the Stellar Award TWICE ). Well, the whole music department is great in general. We all have a great sense of family and we get close with one another. You could say ohana. Our ROTC unit is the largest in the country. That's a good thing, showing our students actually care about citizenship. I admit, some of these teachers aren't the nicest, but all schools have a mean teacher(s). You may be asking, " But what about all those fights and bad reputation?". Blahblahblah. Go to other high schools and you will see that they have the same problem, maybe even worse. This is a great school. A school with lots of history in it, I may add. Just don't let bad rumors your hear, because, not all of it is true.

I am an alumni at this school, class of 1996. This is one of the good schools to attend in PG County. It has a diverse program in Science, Foreign Language, Technology, and Art. Inlcuding a Science & Tech program which requires an exam to get into.

Oxon Hill is a good school. Don't be afraid to attend.. As you see the school is going to be even better within the next 2 yrs.. They re-zoned neigborhoods and Oxon Hill is on itsway to greatness! One thing Oxon Hill need to do...Get rid of a certain history teacher..I'm not saying any names but his name starts with a "K" and ends with a "g" .. He is pulling down the student's moral.. Enough said! Go clippers
