Incompetent office staff. Instead of helping us with transferring 3 students to another PG county school, the students were withdrawn/taken out the system. This led to the students missing two weeks from school due to the online registration process and having to call the new school and the district to acquire a parentvue account. Valley View did not give out this information when asked. We were told they could no longer help us but were never advised that online registration was necessary nor that a code was supposed to be given. All they did was print out a few documents(while sitting down and having us reach over to grab them) and told to go to the new school for further help. This experience was unbelievable and could have been prevented if staff was not lazy and had proper knowledge on the process.

I love working at this school! Students are our priority. I have been in a few schools, and this school by far has a staff that is student-focused. The staff is very unified and the administration works for all stakeholder (students, parents, staff, and community)!

the teacher do bullying as well, there was a teacher that would call me 8 times a days just for small thing even if my son wanted to sharpen a pencil

they do nothing to help or to investigate issues that happen between kids

there are always kids fighting, there is no respect between staff and students.
when i pick my kids from the bus, i see kids giving the bus driver the finger and cursing at him.
my kids have hear words from the kids at this school that they had never heard before.

teachers do not pay attention to kids while in class, my son has been punched while he is in class and the teacher was there but didn't see anything

i have gone to the school to ask why my son doesn't get any home work, they didn't know anything about it and they said they would ask they teacher but i was never given an answer

there is no support from the staff, even the teachers do bullying on my son. i filled a bullying form just to see if they would do a better job but nothing changed, my son gets punched at school or on the bus, i bought pencils for my son and the teacher accused him of stealing the pencils from some one.

I will never send my child to Valley View Elementary School again. There was no support from staff on helping my child who was struggling. They really dropped the ball, I had to take my child out of the school to receive a better education.

The principal is very dedicated. The teachers are dedicated, innovative and carismatic. Valley View is a school of excellence with no exceptions!

The staff at Valley View Elementary School work very hard to create a very positive environment for children to learn and grow in. I really love this school because the teachers are very serious about their work and have great concern for the children they work with. They take a great interest in making sure the children achieve. The staff is tries to give confidence in other areas as well such as; social etiquette and self esteem. Valley View is an excellent learning environment for all students and encourages positive growth for the staff as well.
