My daughter has been a student at this school for 5 years. Overall this school is great. There are always issues, but the principal is always available and eager to help. Most of the teachers approach teaching with a fun attitude and work hard to let every student know they are valued. The classrooms, which at one time had a lower teacher to student ratio, has gotten larger due to families moving into the area from nearby counties, and unfortunately, with this in flux some children with behavioral issues have increased, however, this school has a wonderful inner support system comprised of staff, teachers, and volunteers who help each other handle arising concerns. The only thing, in my opinion, this school lacks is support from the outside school system. Because this school has such a capable and dedicated team it often feels as if the school board ignores our needs in favor or those schools who students come from either extremely disadvantaged or over advantaged families.

I would not chose this school at all. We moved back to the area after being in the USAF for 10 year. Our son was on an IEP from his school in CA. They sent everything to MES and when we moved to our new house we transferred from MES to Dent. Well had a meeting with Dent the other day and said our son was behind. We asked about the IEP they said they never got it was MES and that MES lost his IEP. Very sad that a child that needs help has not been getting it because the school the lost paper work. The school in CA has record of it being sent to MES as well.

the 4th Grade teachers at mes are Higher then Excellent. All the teachers at this school are great!
