There is a mean girl culture that is rampant at the school and it is well known throughout the Kensington community. Many families of past generations who went there say the same thing about the bullying that is allowed to happen and remains unchecked. It is an unwelcoming environment from parents, and the Principle had done nothing about, but seems to favor the primary PTA clique that runs the school. Sadly, the mean girls are just like their parents and it's learned behavior. Unfortunately, the teachers or administration are not redirecting this bad behavior when they see it. It's so ironic they proclaim to value the 4 C's to include compassion, when they actually place no value on those virtues by allowing bullying to spread rampant. There is no doubt families will be removing their funding due to the administration looking the other way.

Overall, we have been in the school for 8 or so years. Most of the teachers we have had are very good (but not all). Some teachers are great. The only problem with the school is that it is really cliquey and is very political. There are certain families that tend to think they own the school because they have been in it for three generations. If you want to get on the "A" team in soccer, become friends with the guy that runs it. Same with basketball, same with other competitions. They say they pull names out of a hat for seat placements for first communion/graduation, etc. But the three generation families always seem to end up in the front row. Unfortunately, that is just the way things are done in this school. Doesn't seem ethical to me considering it is a catholic school but that is the way it is done.

This is my 10th year at HR and my 3 kids have had a wonderful learning environment with great teachers/principal. I know my kids have developed a strong moral compass which will help guide them in all their future endeavors. Every kid is made to feel like a big fish in small pond in the very best way. So great to have all 3 kids together at same school for 6 years!

Overall, I am not aware of any complaints in this area. Everyone seems to be satisfied.

Holy Redeemer is a spectacular school with a strong sense of community, partnership and comradery. The faculty is generous, giving and goes beyond expectations with every student. The principal is extremely involved with each of the students and their academics and interest. The staff is friendly and very helpful. I recommend HR to anyone looking for a great educational institution.

This school is full of caring teachers and families that promote the best of student. The middle school is well run and the kids are prepared for high school.

I have had children in this school for 10 years. The teachers and Principal are very committed and caring. The academics prepare students for success in competitive area schools after Holy Redeemer.
