We have been at OLOL Bethesda since 2012. It is the best school in the area. All teachers are remarkable, they are kind to the children, and at the same time, they constantly push them to work harder and excel academically. At OLOL Bethesda you get personalized attention, as a family, as a parent, and of course as a student. My kids love their school; they have thrived in that loving environment, which has shaped them as well-rounded individuals. It is really their second home. Also the principal, Mr. Long, is a legend.

I attended Lourdes from 6th to 8th grade and I had an amazing experience there! Everyone made me feel so welcomed!

My son attended OLOL from little group to 8th grade. He has not only learned great life lessons here but received a great education. OLOL Kids are unique, they have a strong sense of community, strong characters, leaders, and great manners. They learn to respect one an other, it is a very diverse community and they are not only great students but great humans. OLOL is like a big family with different family types and dynamics and the community embraces diversity and celebrate international days. It was a wonderful experience and I feel blessed that my son had this opportunity.

While this school provides an excellent education, what we love most about it is the wonderful people our kids are becoming. They are taught about character, keeping your word, and working to the best of their potential. The community is diverse and outstanding. Every child at OLOL is known by all of the teachers and staff, and there is a real emphasis on making these children great people.

I am a product of Catholic School education - a product of good Catholic School education not what my child received at Our Lady of Lourdes. In 2014-2015, there were literally 28 children in my child's pre-k class (three year olds) with one teacher and two assistants. The assistants did not provide any instruction and were literally hall monitors. The class was a zoo and my child learned very little...he is less able now to sit down calmly for stretches because he never had to at school. In addition, the school is stuck in the 1950's with very old school perspectives on roles for mothers and fathers, have not heard M. Obama provide advice on nutrition (the snacks each and everyday included junk food), and the school is very conservative. I would advise another Catholic school in the area....

Perfect. We aren't Catholic. I was simply looking for the most nurturing, competent place to put my just turned three year old there was. As a several generation Washington/Bethesda native who has traversed the private and public school arenas from McLean to DC and from Chevy Chase to Potomac, I knew quality when it presented itself and present itself, it did. I am a grandmother. I have raised several children hereabouts and I have bought the services of the most prestigious educational institutions. Lourdes is the best, at least for my bright, sweet little child. The strong principal graciously lead the experienced and creative teachers, all very talented. Mr. Long a terrific male role model and former Marine led the children in a no nonsense challenging and fun athletic program. I could not recommend a school more highly than Lourdes.

OLOL is an excellent school. The principal's strong leadership and guidance sets the tone for a nurturing, high-quality educational and faith-based environment. Our daughter's teacher is an excellent educator who has coupled rigor with creativity, play with discipline, and faith with joy. I cannot recommend this school more highly. Parental involvement is strong, a sense of community pervades, and the school continues to impress me more each day.
