St. Elizabeth Catholic School provides a truly strong foundation for both academic success and personal growth. What stands out most is its emphasis on faith, values, and character- students are encouraged not just to excel in the classroom, but to be kind, respectful, and thoughtful individuals. There’s a genuine sense of community, and it’s clear that shaping good people is just as important as strong academic outcomes.

Academically, the standards are high and students are challenged in a supportive environment. Teachers are dedicated, approachable, and genuinely invested in helping each child succeed. Classrooms feel structured yet encouraging, and students are motivated to do their best.

The school is also very safe and welcoming, with strong communication between staff and families. Parents are included and valued as partners in their children’s education, which makes a big difference.

One area for improvement would be additional in-house resources for students who need extra support, such as those with ADHD. While the school does provide support, it is often outsourced, which can sometimes make access less seamless for families.

Overall, St. Elizabeth is a wonderful school that nurtures both the mind and the character of its students. I would absolutely recommend it to families looking for a values-based education with strong academics.

My daughter attended this school for two years, and unfortunately, our experience was deeply disappointing. Instead of fostering a supportive and motivating learning environment, the school left us feeling emotionally harmed and discouraged. Our child lost motivation to learn and no longer enjoyed going to school, which has been heartbreaking to witness as parents. We expected teachers and administration to nurture students’ growth with care and understanding, but what we encountered was far from that. The lack of emotional support, poor communication, and inadequate response to students’ needs ultimately forced us to leave for the sake of our child’s wellbeing and academic future.

We have had three children attend this school. They all have come home with horrifying stories of racist and phobic comments from their peers. Academically they are not stimulated. If your looking for a parent community of want to be elitists - this is your place. Teachers and admin are unresponsive. My kids come home and say teachers scream during lunch. They operate as a poorly run public school under the cloak of paid education. Look somewhere else unless values of pretending to be someone you’re not through disrespecting others is a thing you want for your children. Disappointed consistently. Hope they snap out of it and transition out of their puppy mill model.

St. Elizabeth has been an incredible experience for my 4-year-old over the past year. We are absolutely delighted with this school! It's evident that she's made remarkable progress in various aspects, including her speaking skills, manners, and independence. We can't stop praising the positive impact PreK 3 has had on her development, and we eagerly anticipate her journey into JK next September.

The teachers and the administration are very attentive to issues that arise in the school. Although infrequent, it is impressive to see how swiftly things are dealt with.

My wife and I could not be happier with St. Elizabeth School. We feel fortunate to have found a home here. The community has become our second family. Honored to support this school. The community has been there for us!

The teachers' priority IS the children they teach! The principal and vice-principal also show that their priority are the children in the school.

Without question! So impressed with the programs that highlight the "good!"

Posted: September 16, 2017

Extremely supportive of parents and students. He always has time for you when you call. The new vice-principal, who has been at the school for many years, is also very committed and supportive.

With three full-time teachers in the Resource Department, the school is more than well-equipped to support children with learning differences.

We transferred two years ago and absolutely love this school! My son and daughter (although excited for summer) did not want school to end. The principal's genuine positivity is reflected in the teachers, students, and parents which is why the school has such high academic success. The staff nurtures each students talents individually so that the students thrive!

St. Elizabeth School has been a gift to our family on so many levels. Our three children attend St. Elizabeth and we count each day there as a blessing. Our teachers have been outstanding - excellent with communication and excellent, more importantly, with taking good care of our children. The administration is involved, supportive of parents' needs, and has a genuine interest in each of the children there. We cannot recommend St. Elizabeth School highly enough. There is a reason 600 students are enrolled!

We couldn't be more proud to send our 3 boys to St. Elizabeth School. The administration, faculty, staff and parent community are exceptional! We are grateful for the positive, kind, safe and nurturing environment St. E's provides. We adore this school and strongly recommend it for anyone looking for a school that thrives in academics, faith and friendship.

My experiences with St. Elizabeth School have been very positive. I transferred my child to St. Elizabeth School from another elementary school. In contrast to my child's initial elementary school, I found the administration and faculty of St. Elizabeth School to be proactive in dealing with bullying and very responsive to individual parent concerns.

My children received an excellent education at St. Elizabeth School. The administration and faculty take the time to get to know each student. Students are inspired to reach their full potential at St. Elizabeth School. The best Catholic primary school in the DC metro area.

We are the proud parents of a second grade child at St. Elizabeth School. Her teachers, since preschool, have been loving, warm, and genuine. Our principal is concerned about every child and his/her family. We feel honored to be members of this school and church community and cannot recommend this school highly enough. When you visit, you'll see what makes our school so special!

We absolutely love St Elizabeth's! We have three kids there who will be entering 1st, 3rd and 5th grades. We'll also send our youngest in a few years. The teachers, staff and administration all go above and beyond for the benefit of the kids. We could not ask for a better school experience academically as well as socially. The kids are taught to be kind to one another and we have seen this first hand at St. E's!

I had five children in this school. Our experience was that bullying is tolerated with no consequences as long as the parents of the bully have influence. My son was bullied relentlessly for the entire school year but because of the principal's connections with the parents of the child responsible for the bullying, nothing was done. I regret ever sending any of my children to this school and we will always look back at the years spent there with regret.

St. Elizabeth is a warm, caring environment where all members of the staff help students excel academically, personally and spiritually. The principal is an amazing leader whose dedication to the school and the families is evident in all he does. Teachers challenge students academically while guiding them as they grow to be the people they were made to be. Emphasis is placed on loving God and neighbor and this shows through all of the community service the students engage in. St. E's is a fun and rewarding place to be! It is a blessing to be a part of this amazing community!

We transferred from another parochial school in the area when our child was in 7th grade. This school has been amazing in every way! Academically, it is exponentially more challenging and the teachers are fantastic. The students are very kind and welcoming. They are also very polite, responsible and mature. The ubiquitous middle school problem of cliques is no-existent here. The kids have a mutual love and respect for each other. Our only regret about St E's is not making the switch earlier!! It has been a wonderful school in every way!!

Our third child is making her way through the school. Nothing but positives to say. The faculty are almost universally great. The atmosphere is extremely positive and the administration are always helpful. Can't say enough nice things.

I love this school in every respect. Top notch teachers and staff and I especially love the principal, Mr. Spadoni. He is very involved in day to day activities. He is friendly, approachable and has a genuine love for each student and family. I have even seen handwritten notes from him on my kid's homework and recently learned that he routinely reviews tests and homework. This school fosters a family-like atmosphere and everyone looks out for each other. My kids love everything about it and are doing very well academically, which says a lot. We had a terrible experience at the local public school to the point where my child did not want to go to school. I highly recommend St. E. It was the best decision I have ever made and have no regrets.

St E's provides an exceptional atmosphere for learning and development for your child. My child was successful at their prior school before transferring to St. E's and then they challenged her to be even better. It was more than we could hope for as parents. Additionally, the community of St. E's is welcoming and supportive. There are just too many exceptional stories to tell about the administration, faculty and families that make up the school. There is definitely something special going on here and we feel lucky to be part of it.
