1 out of 10 A Deeply Flawed Environment for Learning
As a concerned parent, I feel its important to speak honestly about our experience at Independent Baptist Academy. Unfortunately, this school has fallen far short of providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for learning.
There is a noticeable lack of commitment to students academic growth and personal development. The curriculum feels outdated, and there is very little individualized support or encouragement for children to thrive intellectually or socially.
Even more troubling is the clear presence of prejudice within the school culture. Not all children are treated equally, and theres a pattern of favoritism and exclusion that directly contradicts the values of fairness and compassion. Students from diverse backgrounds are often overlooked or marginalized, and the leadership does little to address these issueseven when concerns are raised by families.
If youre looking for a school that genuinely supports every childs potential and fosters a culture of respect and growth, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere.

We have loved our experiences at the school. Mrs. Sisco has always been very responsive and polite and Ms. Ryans was JUST what we needed as a first time parent sending their child off to school.

I have 2 kids in this school and they are doing very well academically and growing spiritual. The teachers go above and beyond the call of duty for this children, they know the children well and help them work on areas they might be falling behind. My family just loves this school

I graduated from IBA and had a wonderful experience. The teachers care about their students and do all they can to help them learn. I'm proud to be an IBA alumni.

I say just right, although it will depend on the teacher. In some cases I feel there was not enough, however, in most cases I believe they gave the appropriate amount.

Yes, I feel the staff at this school has my child's well-being at heart. They have constantly showed care and concern in all areas of her life.

Independent Baptist Academy has been a great school and place of fellowship for my daughter. She has attended this school for three years and is now going into her fourth. The staff are friendly, caring, and knowledgeable.

I am a student of Independent Baptist Academy, and I like it here. Right now I am a high schooler, and the academy is challenging. Overall the school is great, but one of the teachers is a little ridiculous when it comes to homework and projects. Other than that particular teacher, all the teachers are kind and caring. I highly recommend this school to anyone who wants their children to learn academically and spiritually.

I went to this school as a child until about 10th grade. The church is okay but there is no separation from the church and school it is ultimately aligned together. Meaning you get looked down on if you go to their church but not the school, which both are very judgmental in general. The church and school is overall judgmental, which as a christian Christ says come as you are. They don't want "the bus kids" mixed with the kids that go to the church. I am now in a fullfilling career and graduated I can tell you save your money and send your school to grace brethren christian school or other private schools, while they will me more expensive they will have a better educational value in whole, and your kids will note that. One teacher that was actually good at what teaching was Mrs. Roane she was amazing, Im pretty sure she is not there anymore. My mom put me in a different school and I was so happy she did I actually looked forward to it. I actually learned what it was to be a christian and not to judge others I am glad I didn't get brainwashed like the others.
