CBCA provides a solid foundation for children. My kids started reading as early as four years old. The school incorporates religion and Christian values to their curriculum thereby helping the kids grow morally.
The students are well behaved and are often times way ahead of their peers.

We love this school and the communication of staff. The instructions and beliefs align with our beliefs which a top priority for us. Tuition is affordable and we are considering adding our other children. With todays climate it is important to feel confident in the education that your children are receiving , the exposure and biblical principals that mean so much to our family. If we cannot homeschool this is our second choice. Best one yet.

My son has had a wonderful experience in the PreK-4 program at Calvary Baptist Church Academy in Glen Burnie. His teachers are patient, nurturing, and truly committed to helping each child grow socially, academically, and emotionally. The classroom environment is structured but loving, and he comes home excited to talk about what he learned each day. Weve seen so much progress in his confidence, early literacy skills, and independence. The school communicates well with families and makes you feel like part of a caring community. Highly recommend their PreK-4 program!

This is our 7th year at CBCA and we can't see our boys anywhere else! They teach a solid Christian education. The teachers have been so kind and loving, treating the students like family. I also love that they encourage the parents to join the class parties and events in the younger grades. They also offer a variety of after school activities for 4th grade and up. Highly recommend CBCA!

We've been very happy with CBCA thus far (entering our 3rd year there). All classes are taught from a Biblical worldview, which is very important to us. The teachers are great, tuition is reasonable, and the sports/activities offerings are pretty robust for such a small school. It's not a perfect school but overall we really love it and the kids are thriving- academically, spiritually, and socially. I will say that there is always some kind of fundraiser happening, which I do find annoying, but I guess that comes with the territory for a private school trying to keep tuition costs down.

Calvary Baptist Academy has been and will continue to be a Christ centered, academically excellent school for our boys for years to come. The excellent spirit can be felt as soon as you enter their campus. Cant fake this folks. If you want your children in a loving and safe environment, look no further.

I think the school is great. But i will like for us to return to the pre-pandemic era when parents were allowed to come to the kids classroom when dropping them off. Also i would love for more attention to be paid towards keeping kids safe at school especially with the current trend of school shootings.

We started our older son at CBCA with K3, and in a few days he will finish 4th grade. Our younger son also started with K3, and he just finished K5. When we were looking to buy a house last year, one of our primary items in picking locations revolved around being able to continue sending our sons to CBCA. Our current plan is to have them graduate from here.
My wife and I both readily see the value in the better education our children receive here compared to public school, and we enjoy the quality learning environment CBCA has provided and continues to provide our sons.

All learning has the Truth of The Most High as a foundation and CBCA does an excellent job. The a academics are excellent and the morals taught align with what is being taught at home.

We absolutely love this school! My son was in 1st grade this year and he had an amazing year. His teacher, Mrs. Onayiga, has gone above and beyond for him! He was behind when he started the school year and now hes excelling with As and Bs in every subject. Were very thankful Mrs. O has dedicated the time and patience to helping our son thrive in school!

My children have been attending Calvary for two years, and its incredible how much they have grown in that time. (6 and 4) Their teachers have been so caring and it really shows through the kids eagerness to go to school. I also attended Calvary for 12 years and it is somewhere I absolutely feel comfortable and safe sending my children.

Wish we would of look for another school but due to civil our option were limited. I believe this school has set out child back instead of push ahead. Senior leadership is even worst than the teacher putting down children in ear shot of the child. Lastly they did nothing when my child notified that a student hit them in the stomach

My children all went here and graduated, then graduated from college, and all have good jobs now. Calvary was a good school, gave them a good foundation for life. If we had to do it over again, we would still choose Calvary. Good school, good staff, good teachers, nice balance between Christian stand and an excellent education.

Absolutely disappointed with this school. Covid is raging through the classrooms, no one can be certain they are following protocol once the doors are closed (aka rules are published on their site but certain students are allowed to make the decision whether they keep masks on). Grades are separated by building per health dept code however teachers are known to travel between buildings for a variety of reasons thus defeating the separation. Teachers are not forthcoming about very basic details regarding Covid positive cases in their classrooms. The administration picks and chooses who is made aware of positive cases. The rest are left in the dark. Meanwhile, teachers tell parents they have their students best interests in mind but the students have a different story to tell. This school would benefit greatly from the administrator focusing less on praying the Covid away and more on both transparency and actually making the school safe for everyone.
Our experience here has not been fantastic. Granted this is the time of Covid and things are not fantastic anywhere. However, I will say, as bad as public school might be, at least they have the students best interest in mind with remote and hybrid learning options and stopping the spread. I feel like this school does whatever it takes to remain open. Unfortunately, I feel this drive is based solely on revenue/warding off angry parents paying for home learning (or daycare not received) and not the health and welfare of the students and staff.

I wish I sent my son to public school that is ranked 3rd worst in aacounty than this school. They don't know how to teach or work with boys who are high strung. My son comes home weekly thinking his is bad kid due to his teacher and the staffing at this school. It is amazing how the 2 weeks he was taught a home there were 0 issues!

This school is a hidden gem in the community. My son was reading very well at 4yrs old. The kindergarten class can be compared to a first grade level in public schools. I did not realize how much Calvary taught my kids until I moved out of the county, and had to place my kids in another school. The teachers can be strict, but caring. The pre-k and kindergarten classes are very structured. You never feel as though you are sending your kids to daycare. There were no discipline/behavioral problems in the classrooms that hindered learning. The tuition is affordable. I have contemplated making the 30 minute drive back to Calvary, so that I can be assured that my kids are getting a decent education.

This is my daughter's 1st year at Calvary. She is in Pre-K 4 and we absolutely love Mrs. Heffernan, Mrs. Goodman, the office staff, and the after care teachers. Everyone is very friendly. They all know us by name. My daughter has learned so much academically and spiritually. She asked to go back daily. We plan to keep her there for grade school, also. Tuition is very reasonable, and it is close to our house. I highly recommend this school!
