Faith Baptist Christian School

I have enjoyed having my children at Faith Baptist. It would be difficult to find another school with teachers as loving and giving to their students as the Faith faculty and staff. The class sizes are small, and the school is having financial troubles, but the love of God shines through. If you are looking for a christian education for your children, I would definitely recommend Faith. If you have a heart for christian education, I would consider donating your time and money to this school. It would be a shame to see this school close due to lack of finances and low enrollment.

I would not recommend this school to anyone. The administrative policies are not in step with the realities of children's needs. The teachers' hands are tied by such strict guidelines and extreme over emphasis on quiz, test and grade performance as early as second grade, that very little "teaching" is accomplished. Parents are blamed in front of other parents if their child is not meeting stringent behavioral and educational expectations. Teasing among the students is frequent. Consider other options before enrolling your child.

Though there are elements that are great about this school (some of the teaching staff are great), the policies and discipline are a bit harsh, there is absolutely no oversight allowed by parents (no surprise visits, no peeking in classroom doors or windows), no free discussion of parties, certain weekend events etc. no pulling your kid out of school for vacation without 2 weeks prior notification. not enough pushing of true educational agenda along with the A-beka curriculum (i.e. science). Too much to put here. I see no effective integration with schools outside FBCS once term here is complete. NO fostering of imagination. Where can I see stats on testing and learning ability? Behind the learning curve amongst the rest of the world and we still cant seem to be able to integrate education with the push toward the future. Cant wait until my daughter is out of here.

My son joined FBCS last year, I like the fact that he is being challenged in various subjects and i also love the teacher: pupil ratio. My only concern is the lack of physical activities and sports. FBCS does not have a science lab and i think a good basis in paractical science is very essential but it is still a budding school and i am hopeful for the best

FBCS has been a warm, friendly place for my children to learn and grow. There is a strong academic curriculum, but there is also an important emphasis on character building. The school also provides a safe environment for my kids, as the focus on firm but caring discipline sets a good standard for behavior both in the classroom and on the playground.
