Have had two children and three grandchildren attend this excellent welcoming school. Children are happy learning here.

The most horrible experience ever. We had to pull our child 3 month into school due to teacher inability to deal with any sort of situation and treating my child disrespectfully. As one of the 4 year olds teachers put it " if you were getting paid what I'm getting paid,you would try to make your work as minimal as possible". That about describes the effort part of the staff.2 women running the place are even less encouraging unless it's the 1 st of the month when the tuition is due- parents get an email at 5 am as a remainder. Yikes.

My son just started at BCS two months ago. From the moment he arrived he was made to feel right at home. His teacher, Miss Paula, is amazing, she truly cares about the children and teaches them in an environment with focus on fun, art and education. My son already has a workbook and is learning to spell his name in capital letters and is working on other upper case letters as well (he just turned 4). (He arrived late to the class and every child there already knows how to write their name and they are well onto writing many other words) Every day I have proof that not only is my child having a blast and making friends, but he is learning as well. I am never in the dark about how his day went and our teacher keeps us informed with lovely detailed e-mails. We loved our school in Philly, but BCS is making the transition to the area so much easier because I know my son is in good hands. The parents I have met have also been so nice. The director is fantastic too, she is very responsive and pleasant. I can't say enough how thrilled I am with BCS.

We had a very bad experience here. Here are the highlights: 1) We paid for 9-12 and noticed that the children were sitting on the curb from 11:30 on watching carpool line - no playing, no interacting, just sitting. 2) I never had any idea what my kid was learning or how he was doing....questions to teachers met with very vague responses 3) When I asked the director a question about potty-training she told me I should take away tv if my not yet 3 year old (boy) was still pooping in his underwear 4) I was literally accosted by the director for not contributing auction items (to a very privileged school with already very high tuition and no idea what the proceeds would be funding). I won't even mention the cold clubby air that pervades the place (I was actually sent home when I tried to volunteer at the bake sale). Don't be deceived by the beautiful grounds. There are MUCH better options in the area!
