I have had children attend Ernest Just MS for many years. I can honestly say that this is the first year, under Dr. Whitmyer as the permanent principal, that I feel hopeful. Being an administrator, teacher, employee with the Prince George's County school system is challenging. Even with the challenges, the principal is trying to change the atmosphere for all involved for the better. As a parent, I want what is best for my girls just like anyone else. Ernest Just is not perfect, but it is still a good school. School is also what the child makes it. It's very diverse. There are many academic and sporting programs for the students to choose. With more being added for next school year. Many volunteer opportunities for students to take advantage of to meet their requirements. The teachers and administrators can't do it alone. Their needs to be MORE parent involvement. Our PAC (Parent Advisory Council) meetings normally have the same 5 - 10 parents to attend each month. Your child needs you as well.

The rating for the school is 4/10 but the school is not bad, its just the kids in the school even though my daughter I was mixed in with bad kids I still believed that shouldn't be in the mmix and stayed herself and if you send your child here just believe in them and encourage them.

This is absolutely...The teachers do not care about your child at all. Speaking with them you will always get the feeling that you are wasting their time. The administration is HORRID. They all seem like they hate their jobs including the new principal Mr. Schoen. My child was not a problem child at all. Never got a call home ever. I was really concerned she was falling behind academically and getting a call back or some assistance was like pulling teeth. On one occasion the teacher went to my child to ask what I want and STILL did not return my call. I encourage you... DO NOT send your child here.

my name is Nicholas Mufa i attended ernest everett just in my middle school years i am now 19 and i attended Harvard University, I feel that ernest builds a future for the kids and has a great learning environment my nephews and cousins go to ernest and they love it. parents if you are looking for schools then ernest should be your pick
