Both of my girls attended Corkran Preschool and Kindergarten through kindergarten graduation. The staff genuinely cares for each and every student as if they are their own. It is a family-oriented environment where the children thrive, making life-long friends. My girls were more than ready for their journey to first grade.

This school is amazing! My kids attended from 2016-2020 and I am so excited to hear that they are reopening. The staff members are so dedicated and its obvious that they truly love these kids.

I can't say enough good things about Corkran. Both of my children attended this school from pre-k 2 to kindergarten. Corkran provided them with a safe space to play, learn and thrive. Both of my children learned how to read at an early age due to the outstanding teachings of the teachers. The staff truly cared for each child as their own, which I'm sure played a vital role in their development. This is the school that you have been looking for.

I attended Corkran for kindergarten back in 1997. My mother was a teachers assistant at Corkran for many years! After I graduated high school, I began working part time as a substitute and an extended care teacher. From 2018-2020, I was lead teacher of the two year old classroom! This school has been a second home to me for as long as I can remember. I may be biased because I worked there, but I must say that this school provides the care, nurturing, and love to every single child that attends. We love our littles as our own and make sure every child leaves school every day knowing how loved they are by us. I do not have any children of my own, but if I ever do, I would definitely want to send them to Corkran!

A wonderful school and a safe environment for the little ones. My son went here many years ago and still remembers and talks about the teachers and the friends he made here. I am sure many moved on just like us, but what a sweet memory this school brings for my entire family. Your little one will definitely be happy and make many good memories here. The entire family will make new friends. This school was a blessing in our lives. Definitely recommend it!

Both my girls attended Corkran from age 2 through kindergarten. I could not have made a better choice! The school is a bright, cheery environment that engages children to learn in a fun atmosphere. The staff is warm and caring and it is a true family oriented place! Even with 80+ children, the entire staff knew my girls names and my husband and me, as well. My girls enjoyed going to school everyday to learn and play with the many friends they made over the years. We go back to visit every so often and they still remember us, and are just as pleasant and personable as when we attended the school many years ago! I definately recommend Corkran Preschool to everyone looking for a quality program for their family!

Wonder experience. Excellent Faculty and Staff. My children thrived here. They were reading at the end of PreK 4s. This is a loving, safe and nurturing environment that I will send my childrens children to as long as Corkran is here. We arent just students and parents, we have become family. Lifelong friendships have been built.

Corkran was heaven sent!

Both of my sons attended during the school year and the summer. They absolutely loved every moment of it. All members of the staff were kind, helpful, and knowledgeable of their students behavioral and learning needs. My sons were challenged academically, developed socially, and had more than enough to look forward too each day.

I appreciate the communication and support provided to families. It really made taking part in my children's learning manageable and enjoyable.

If you are looking for an institution that will support your child with integrity and a staff that teaches with a genuine passion for young people, this is an amazing FIRST choice.

Corkran truly is a great school with amazing teachers. Both of my children attended the school from the age of two to six when they both graduated kindergarten, two years apart. We genuinely love everything about the school from the staff, their creative learning practices and principles, comradery, and just overall fun. I would recommend Corkran to any family looking for a safe environment for their children. The teachers treat the children like their own and that really meant a lot to us.

Oh how I'm going to miss Corkran! My daughter graduated from Kindergarten after being there for 3 years (since PreK-3). I have the pleasure of saying that I have NEVER HAD ONE COMPLAINT about this school. The administration and teachers from top to bottom loved, nurtured, and prepared my daughter to move on to her next phase in life. Corkran Preschool and Kindergarten is a family and they will be in our hearts forever!

I was one of those parents (just like you) looking on this website for the right preschool for my young child to attend and found Corkran. It's amazing to see my sons growth. They have many activities for the students throughout the school year and it is obvious that the kids are their number one priority. THE STAFF AT CORKRAN IS THE BEST!

This school is wonderful! This is my sons second year here. His teachers have been amazing over the past two years. They have really helped to prepare him for elementary school. I recently took him to an event at his future elementary and the teachers were so impressed with how much he knew for his age. (Thanks Corkran). My youngest son is in his first year here and he loves it. This is truly a great school.

Love is not a strong enough word to describe how our family feels about Corkan Preschool (and Kindergarten). Each day, my daughter comes home with an academic-related project she has completed. She gets instruction to prepare her for Kindergarten and also time for free play and she has so much fun there. She started the year shy and introverted and blossomed like we couldn't believe at preschool. The school has a facebook page and they upload pictures of students learning frequently (only with your consent). Her wonderful teacher also updates her teacher webpage weekly so we can keep up with the concepts she is learning at home. You will not regret sending your child to Corkran. I have not heard a single negative remark about any of the teachers there and the office staff is super friendly and helpful to boot. I'm a fan of Corkran Preschool and Kindergarten, for sure!

My daughter went to Corkran the last two years. We just had her first conference in a public school in a TX kindergarten and the teacher was amazed at how far along she already is and how well she is doing in a classroom setting. I have to give Corkran the credit. They definitely get little ones ready for Kindergarten.

Ms.Heying, the Director and Ms. Hahn's experience in the school is extensive...Ms.Lee and Ms.Monk exude the virtues of what great teachers are...patient, stern, loving, and knowledgeable.

This School is the Best! All three of my children have attended this school and they are well prepared. The teachers and staff are professional. Everyone is welcoming. The children love school. The kids come home with awesome art projects and enjoy the activities while in school. So glad to have found this school!!!

I must share my wonderful experience with Corkran. Four years ago I was new to the area and searching for a school for my then 3 year old son. I found Corkran online.When I called I spoke to Mrs. White who was conducting the summer camp at that time. She encouraged me to come and visit the school while summer camp was in session. I instantly fell in love with the christian family atmosphere. My son started in Mrs. Whites 3 year old class that fall. He stayed with Corkran until he headed to Public Charter School here in PG county where he has received awards and honors for academics in reading and mathematics. I attribute all his success to a sturdy foundation from Corkran Preschool. This coming fall my daughter who has been at Corkran since the 2 year old class is headed to Charter School as well as a Kindergartener. The staff at Corkran has watched my daughter blossom from a shy all too quiet baby into a young lady with charisma and intelligence and The Lord in her heart.May God always bless and keep Corkran Preschool and Kindergarten staff and alumni families in his hands. My children are well prepared and well cared for at Corkran by people who obviously loved them like parents.

We LOVE LOVE LOVE Corkran!!! The staff is our other family! My children grew up in their care. I trusted them with my most precious gifts two times over! My kids came out ahead in every subject! I am a fan of Corkran and tell everyone in need of a preschool about Corkran!

School is great and your children will be reading, writing and well adjusted. But your voice and goals for your children will be limited by school leadership and staff bias. They push the private school options after departure from their program. They go out of their way to discourage considering good public school options throughout the county; they provide no information about public school options. PGCPS, although a hemorrhaging educational system, does have some very strong magnet programs and comprehensive elementary schools. Also, they do not provide a closing acknowledgement for the 4 yr olds that are departing for kindergarten (an entry point for elementary) b/c according to the director, some how honoring the 4 yr olds that will enter kindergarten at another school, undermines the graduation ceremony of the kindergarteners. Go figure! I thought loving and supporting all students in their educational journey was a priority for the community. Little contradictory things like this are pervasive within this wonderful Christian environment! My children got what was needed and glad we are gone!

Mine and my children's Corkran Preschool & Kindergarten experience has been awesome! I cannot say enough good things about the school and the staff! Both of my children attended this school and came home smiling every day! They learned so much from the wonderful teachers at this school. You can tell they REALLY care about your child and your family. It is a fun learning environment and my kids were so better off socially. We still return every year to participate in their Annual Walk to support both the school and the church. It is an older school but that just shows they have strong ties in the community. And every time we go back they have continued to make improvements. If I do decide to have any other children I will definately be sending them to Corkran! Go see for yourself and you'll feel confident you have made the right choice for your child accademically and socially.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Corkran! The staff is kind, caring and empathetic to the needs of both the children and parents. As a parent with multiple children here over the years I have seen the building being improved each year. It is an older building but they have kept it up very well. The academics are very age appropriate and gives the right mix of what the children need. Overall I would recommend Corkran to any family looking for a great school!

Great Experience Overshadowed! Experience was great as kids are reading well, nurtured & cherished by staff and are physically & socially well-adjusted like parents giving school 5's --academics excellent, activities age appropriate. However, goals for my childrens' education as well as for the overall benefit of the school have received gentle benign indifference. Suggested enhancements to curriculum that were constructive & inclusive were quietly dismissed or indefinitely deferred. So I equate our experience like that of eating a bowl of chicken soup during the winter months. It is nourishing, warm & filling! Kids learn, grow & flourish. But like soup if neglected it can become cold, distasteful and spoil. Experience has taught me that engaging school leadership can be cold & distasteful and spoils the school spirit. Comments are stated to recognize that a community is made of its faculty & staff as well as its parents & students. Parents should be heard, included, & enabled to be successful w/ educating their child thru the school's ability to be flexible. Corkran must support & value parental input by creating a process for systematic action to implement improvements.

My third child, who has been here since he was two years old, will graduate this year. Corkran has allowed all three of my children develop physically, emotionally, and intellectually. Most importantly, the staff has encouraged and supported each child s personality and not tried to mold them to fit in a box. The children in the classrooms are close knit and support each other through the learning process. A family oriented atmosphere is evident when you first walk through the doors. The teachers work closely together and follow each child s progress through the preschool years. I have seen all my children acquire the educational skills and self-confidence needed to achieve in their subsequent school. I have seen preschool programs in various private schools and I do not believe I would have been satisfied anywhere else. Not only do they emphasize writing, reading and math skills, they encourage social and community responsibility. My fourth and first graders remain friends with several of their former classmates and they all maintain the excitement for learning that began at Corkran.

THIS IS THE SCHOOL YOU'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR! I am the Mom of 3 children and all three have atteneded Corkran! You won't find a better school around then Corkran Preschool and Kindergarten! You cannot compare the staff to any other, these teachers and office staff are the best, most engaging, patient, kind and loving group that I've ever meet! You can tell they TRUELY LOVE the children and their jobs! Each and every person that enters the doors of Corkran are treated and made to feel like family. The instruction and education the children receive in unmatched. The children that move on from this program are MORE prepared then most to enter the new schools! Corkran is recognized by both public and private schools in the area and children are gladly accepted into their programs. I would say that if you are in need of a Preschool or Kindergarten program you should check Corkran out fast before spots fill for the school year! I am sure you will love it as much as my family has!

Both of my children went to Corkran from the time they were 2 to 5. The teachers and staff treat all children and parents as if they are family. The school is such a warm, caring environment. The children feel safe and loved. I would recommend Corkran to anyone looking for a preschool or Kindergarten. The BEST you will find in PG County!

Look no further! Our family is fairly new to the area and were looking, without much guidance for a good private school in the area. Corkran exceeded all of our expectations. It is everything a preschool should be. Intimate, involved staff and parents, happy, kind all the while OVER preparing your child for his or her school career. More, the value for the price is phenomenal and unbeatable in this area. We started our daughter in the 4s program and she just completed a wonderful and memorable kindergarten year. Look forward to starting my 2 year old this fall!

Best kept secret in PG County. I am not one that is easily impressed, but Corkran did it. Two persons separately recommended this school to us, both of which are educators in PG County and whom have children that are alumni of the school. My daughter started when she was 2 yrs old and is now in the five day 4 yr old program. My husband and I absolutely love it and plan to keep her there through Kindergarten. The teachers are professional and caring, and Principal leadership is outstanding (emphasis added). My daughter has been fully engaged in the 4 yr old program and loves the fact that she now has "real" homework. I briefly observe morning group times, and was blown away that she is learning fractions at such a young age. One area the school would greatly benefit from is if they incorporate foreign language into the curriculum, particularly Spanish. Corkran would be even better with additional funding. Last, the tuition is super affordable.
