My both daughters( now 11 and 4) ex and current CmMs student. They both join at the age of 3+ and my experience is really good with the team. Specially Shinning star teachers they will take care of your baby as their baby. They always came back with happy face and always with new learning. For 4+ age group they have good program. For my first daughter (2018-2019), she got good learning. By the time she was in Kindergarten, she knew basic maths( addition and subtraction) and was reading books ( level1). She got good support from school. For my younger one I can see progress in her learning but yet to see final result. Teachers are vigilant and attentive. Different programs for family to be part of kids school routine which I enjoy most( grandparents day and other).
For kids under 3 I have no experience but I am sure they must be having good team there too.

Both of my children have attended CMMS in Columbia, MDone has since moved on, and the other is currently enrolled. We've had a great experience with the school. The teachers and the director, Ms. Jeni, have been incredibly patient and kind, especially when my kids were just starting daycare at a very young age and feeling anxious. We truly appreciate the warm, nurturing environment they provide.

Our first child started at Children's Manor when she was 2 and was there for approximately 2.5 years. Our youngest currently attends, and he started right around the age of 2 as well.
We have had a wonderful experience with CMMS through the years. There is a 6-year age gap between our children, but our youngest has had most of the same teachers as our oldest had. It was so nice to return to the school and see that so many familiar faces in the classrooms when we returned with our youngest.
The director has also remained. She has been so helpful to us during our time at the school. She is always prompt with replies to questions and she has a handle on everything that goes on in the school.
We have loved all the teachers, and the teachers really make an effort to develop a bond with the students. They really treat you like family while you're there.
Our children have also learned a great deal. Our oldest was well-prepared to enter Kindergarten following her time at CMMS, and we expect the same for our youngest.
CMMS has a very good curriculum and offers many different programs, such as music, foreign languages, yoga, etc.
The teachers provide daily reports after each school day, sometimes with pictures of your child engaged in an activity during the day. They also provide weekly emails that detail what will be taught in the classroom each week.
The director also organizes several field trips throughout the school year, as well as seasonal recitals, holiday parties, grandparents' day, parents visit the classroom, parent-teacher conferences, etc.
We are so glad to have had CMMS play such an important role in our children's education and our family's life.

CMMS has become a second home to our kids. We couldn't have chosen a better nuturing environment for our three boys! The teachers are engaging and provide a positive but challenging education for them. Our first son has been above grade level in public school ever since graduating from the Pre-K honors program and we attribute this to ths strong foundation he received at CMMS. Ms. Jeni has been an anchor to the school as the director for several years and is a pleasure to work with. She is responsive to any questions or concerns we have and we are happy to give CMMS a strong commendation.

Weve been with CMMS Columbia for the past five years and have had a wonderful experience. Our children have grown socially, emotionally, and have developed a love for learning. The staff are patient, kind, empathetic, and make our children feel special. Highly recommend.

This is a great school for Preschoolers. My son had been home for 2.5 years for the pandemic and the school went out of the way to no only get him acclimated but also teach him rules in the class, mind and follow instructions in a school environment.
He is a totally different kid now socially and loves going to school and playing with other kids. I highly recommend CMMS for young kids and preschoolers as it does wonders
for them. They have a fun summer program and a Kindergarten that is great too from what I have heard.

We are very grateful to this school for accommodating our daughter after the year had already started, we don't expect they can do this for everyone but it's one of the reasons we loved it so much.
The director of this school is amazing, she pours her heart, time, work, and love into the school, kids, activities, events, and ceremonies. The teachers are excellent as is the quality of the education. The behavior expectations are strict, but their methods are objectively effective and the teachers use proper disciplinary techniques (our daughter never complained about teachers shouting, yelling, or being mean like at other schools she's been at).
Our 5 year old finished pre-K and is able to read, do math, and also learned history and geography. We recently took a long road trip and she often talked to us in the car about things she learned in school about the different states we visited, or historical figures we mentioned (She learned a lot about MLK, for instance).
The school is wonderfully diverse, there is no religious affiliation so our daughter was taught equally about all religious and cultural traditions during the different holidays.
We loved all the events, and ceremonies we attended, in the year our daughter was here we went to a few seasonal concerts were the kids sang and danced, as well as a trunk or treat, Halloween parade, earth-day activity, and a surprisingly robust graduation ceremony!
We absolutely recommend this school to anyone in the area, preschool is a very important developmental stage for children and this school did a fantastic job setting our daughter up for success in K-12!

Having both of our children attend CMMS was the best decision our family could have made. The teachers are caring, patient, and committed to providing a safe and fun, learning environment. They have an excellent curriculum during the school year and a great summer program as well! CMMS includes families in the learning process as well as outings into the community. We highly recommend CMMS.

Children's Manor Montessori provides a warm, nurturing, inclusive, highly enriching environment where all three of my children thrived. They have all learned so much academically while also having the opportunity to develop motor, social, and emotional skills in a community of truly caring teachers and peers.

Our children love this school! The director and all the teachers they have had over the years have been wonderful! My daughter looks forward to going to school each day and I believe they are the reason she loves learning. Both kids are very happy when I pick them. I'm only giving it 4 stars, however, because their accounting department is awful. On several occasions, it has taken days or weeks to get basic questions answered. When parents are paying a significant amount of money on tuition, questions regarding that tuition should be answered promptly and before the next payment is due. Otherwise, we love the school!

My 2yr old has attended this school for year now. Most important, she loves going to school every single day. Smiles and runs to the door, receives hugs from her teachers when she enters and tells me about all the fun things she did all day when I pick her up. Additionally, the things my 2yr old knows is outstanding: all letters (upper and lower), identify all numbers up to 20, speaks and responds to simple Spanish phrases, knows the continents, days of the week and months in the year. I gave this school 5 stars b/c I know my child is happy and learning everyday.

Initially, I thought that Children's Manor in Columbia was a pretty decent place to send my child. Now that my child is about to graduate and move on to the public school setting, I must admit that if I had known half of the things that parent friends have been sharing with me this past year, I would probably have transferred my child out of the school. However, my child has established friendships at the school, which has made it difficult even if I wanted to go that route. For instance, I have heard of parents complaining that their children were being yelled at, berated, and made to cry. In addition, in terms of safety concerns, there were disinfectant spray cans lying around in each class, within reach for all little ones. More horrifying was a story that there was a pair of box cutters, left on the counter top, accessible for all students to get a hold of. Academically, my child has progressed in some areas, but not all. Sadly, I expected a lot more out of the Pre-K program this year, considering my child would be moving on to Kindergarten the following school year. Explore all of your Montessori options before committing to CMMS-Columbia.

My daughter has been attending Childrens Manor in Columbia for almost a year now. She is 2 1/2 and can speak spanish, recognize numbers, the alphabet (upper and lower case), can name all the planets/stars in the solar system and has learned phonics. The teachers are attentive and truly care about the students. We are quite pleased with the program.

My children have been attending this school since last summer. I just received a report card for one of my boys that did not include a single positive comment on it. I'm appalled. Even if the teacher doesn't like a student, she needs to be able to say at least one positive thing. Not doing so simply means she doesn't know my son at all. My son is smart enough to know when a teacher doesn't like him. I regret ever having sent him to this school.
