HVMS was an outstanding school. My children have attended for a number of years. Unfortunately the BOT had personal agendas that were not in the best interest of the school, students or staff. As a result the school has,,after 45 years been closed they have filed for bankruptcy this week and the corporation is being dissolved.

At Henson Valley, the children love to learn and the teachers love to teach. It doesn't get any better than that!

Both of my children attended Henson Valley and everyday I am grateful for the amazing foundation they received. They are independent thinkers and learners, resourceful, confident and resilient. They respect their talents and those of others. We all were part of a great community. Thank you all! We're looking forward to becoming active alumni.

Henson Valley Montessori School is extraordinary. My children have thrived at this dynamic, diverse, and beautiful school. They are respected as individuals and the instruction they receive is based on their own unique needs and learning styles. I couldn't be happier with their academic progress. Just as important to me is their progress developing into responsible members of a community. This is a place where community is important. It's a special place!

This is our second tour with HVMS. My daughter started w/HVMS in 2003. We were sent to Langley AFB, VA - while there we enrolled her in Montessori because of the experience she received at HVMS. Upon learning that we were coming back to Andrews we called HVMS straight away. She loves her teachers and the experience that HVMS offers. I'm pleased with the education and worldly life lesson exposure she is presented. She has a number of friends in the Montgomery County school system and she surpasses their educational level and experience for her year/age. HVMS staff makes you feel like a family member of the HVMS community. The atmosphere is truely that of a family and not like another parent and student in a school system.
