My child was offered work to complete at home while in the last two classrooms- completely optional though. We chose to complete some items.

Every year the school does some sort of charity drive and involves the kids with it.

I am unable to comment, as my child did not experience this.

Overall, the children in this program seem to thrive. All of the classes that my child has been in has had teachers who genuinely seem to care about teaching and loving the kids. I could not be happier with the experience that my family has had at this school.

I found the set up and curriculum mechanistic unimaginative with no personal touch. Their daily reports were pre-prepared with no details on how my son actually did.The staff were not amiable and not motivated towards making this a great experience for my child. Rooms are small and stink of poo all the time. The staff are not amiable and seem cold/aloof. The franchise model shows through and through. I don't know how much more they can milk it

Absolutely no. They are stuck to a pattern and are not flexible at all

Sorry, I had no such experience to comment on

I felt like I was talking to a wall at my PT meeting. There was no fruitful exchange of ideas. They seem frustrated too from insufficient pay, hours they put in

Super school, my sons vocabulary is progressing much faster since his attendance and he loves being there - no tears! A great rounded curriculum; reading, drawing, physical activities, singing and having fun whilst their doing it!

I feel our child is learning a lot in a safe environment with teachers who he loves that love him back.

My son was more than ready to enter Kindergarten. That means a lot to us.

We recently moved our 2-year-old to The Goddard School from another center. As parents, we worried about how he would adjust to a new place with new teachers, friends, and routines. Turns out, we were worried for no reason at all! We were shocked at how seamless the transition was and how at ease and truly happy he was to go to school each day. We love the organization and thoughtfulness from all of the staff that goes into his days. We know that his day has been planned and he is never bored, and the daily attendance reports are amazing and so detailed. He loves to tell us all about his day, and that lets us know he is well cared for and happy. We could not be more pleased with making the switch to The Goddard School!

The weekly educational structure, preparing parents in advance of what their children will learn and the attentiveness of the teachers.

My son had been in another daycare/preschool from the age of 4 months until 3.5 years. Towards the end of his time there, drop-off was a nightmare because he complained that he hated school and didn't want to go each day. We began looking for a new school and found Goddard. We're so happy we did. After our tour, we got a hand written note in the mail with a sketch of a pirate on it (he is obsessed with everything pirate). He started there about 6 weeks ago. Within a week, there were no more tears at drop-off. He actually talks about things he has learned at school, which he never did before. The teachers have done everything necessary to ensure create a warm, nurturing environment that made his transition as smooth as we ever could have wished. The one drawback is that the facility is not as nice as some other schools we visited. But, that won't be an issue for long as they are building a new facility to open in the spring!

security, quality, cleanness, quality of education & teaching to kids. There recent addition of tadpoles really helped us to monitor day to day activities for our son. Thank you Goddard!

I heard horror stories about my family or friends interactions with staff at other daycares and schools. At Goddard everyone have been respectful, kind, and have so much patience. I truly feel like the people at Goddard care for my children. Both my sons have learned a tremendous amount and are on the right path for education.

We were looking for a program that would provide more of a challenge to help prepare our son for Kindergarten. Since making the transition, what has been most amazing is how he has progressed socially and academically. He comes home every day talking about something new that he has learned at school. We also transitioned our younger daughter and have been amazed at how easy and smooth she made the change. I cannot thank the teachers at The Goddard School enough for all that they have done to give my children a solid foundation.

The Goddard school is great! My son's teachers are WONDERFUL! He would cry for the first few weeks when I dropped him off at school, but his teacher would come right over, give him a hug and engage him in activities and he would stop crying instantly. I also absolutely love the emailed daily progress reports with quotes my son says during the day and pictures. They also do a few 'parent's night out' nights where we can drop off our child on a saturday night for a few hours; they feed them and have fun activities and a movie.

Goddard School (Columbia 100 Pkwy) used to be a good school but no longer. When our oldest child had gone there, all the staff and school Directors went out of the way to nurture the children and welcome the parental involvement. Now, many of the staff complain to the parents how little they are paid and show very little genuine interest and effort to care for the kids. The administrators are no longer problem solvers and would rather not find effective solutions to feedback about problems from parents; they may hear your feedback but mostly ignores them. There is a constant staff/ teacher turnover nowadays. Since not all Goddard schools are the same, it may be that just this one facility has turned more into a business than a school for its staff.

Love this school - they are NAEYC accredited which is the first thing I look for before I would ever drop my babies off. My child's elementary teacher told me the kids that graduate from Goddard always test highest on the placement tests!
