the teachers my son had are unprofessional. i don't think they get paid enough. atlas they don't act like it. no passion

communication with teachers bad. i am unable to track progress of my son.

Good Set up. Bad Staff. Outdated Equipment(nothing digital or computerized)

Staff member hit my kid and called him a baby after he had an accident(urinated) on himself

staff wasn't paying attention and another kid pushed my kid off a stage

attempted to talk to owners... no luck

staff has no religion in them at all. director unprofessional

My son has attended OCCA since 2011 when he was 2. I have never experience any of the issues or concerns that the previous reviewers are addressing. Sister Sharika, Crystal and especially Nicola has been very nourishing and caring with the development of my son’s and other students education. Installing the necessary tools he needed and beyond. My son is now a 1st grader and is way above his grade level with reading, and other subjects. Sister Nicola was teaching her kindergartens 2nd grade work; 1 digit multiplication, division, fractions, 3 digits addition and subtraction. I was very impress with the workload, teaching and communication.
And, like I stated before I have never witnessed a teacher(s) in classroom fourteen spanking or any other unacceptable behavior toward the kids. I now have a cousin who’s been attending OCCA for about a year since the age of 3, and within a few weeks my cousin has seen a huge difference within her learning skills and abilities.

And For your information-I do not work for OCCA, I’m not related to anyone at OCCA nor do I attend their church. I’m just a parent who takes her son’s education very seriously, especially if I’m paying for his schooling.

This is a wonderful school, the staff was well trained and professional. I recommend this school to anyone who wants quality, a loving environment for their child and reasonable fees.

You won't find a better child care center, clean, professional and my son loves his school. There is a warm, christian environment there and I am very happy there!

I absolutely love Outreach Christian Center Academy! The staff is great, friendly and the atmosphere is comforting for me, especially since this is my first child. The center is always clean, my child has learned more than I could have ever imagined and he adores his teacher.

My son is a 2yr. old and was receiving services at Outreach Christian Center Academy. The staff is poorly trained as is management, it is easy to be fooled when students are wearing uniforms and appear to be doing work. Take it from me say no to OCC.

Great facility but don't be deceived. The school curriculum and ability to nurture has declined greatly. They have decreased qualified teaching staff which affects the curriculum. The staff is so lazy. Your child will endlessly sleep or be forced to lay on a cot for hours at a time if they can not fall asleep. If they don't sleep they get punished in the form of a time out or having play time withheld if they are in Class #14 they get beat. The rest of the day the children are forced to sit and watch television. Sporatically they will do a "craft" project and they rush through assignments. They rarely go outside or to the featured gym. Beyond 2 years of age you need to seek other options. I removed my 3.5 year old after 8 months. Room #14 is the worst!!! The teacher who is also the niece of the Director, has a really short temper and she has been witnessed spanking, pushing and yelling at children. She will then pretend to like your toddler in front of you yet beat them when you are not present. She has very sneaky and immature behavior for an adult and mother. Be very cautious with this school.

This school does nothing that they say they are going to do. My son went here for almost three months. Everytime I came in they were watching tv. While I did like his teacher in general I don't pay this kind of money for television. I did speak with the director who stated they were making changes but not fast enough so I could withdraw my son. Its sad that a academy which charges is not teaching enough to children, instead the television is. The school was always clean but that was about it. I removed my son and he is in a great learning environment and continuing to blossom.

The worst school colia will beat your kids and Chris will watch! they don't do nothing but start drama with parents and the other teachers colia in em 14 whatever you do don't put your child in her class she will teach glue child Spanish when they can't count or know all of their alphabets for her to be wow! I took my child out she goes to Clinton Christian... This school should be condemned everything is broken including lights and I also witnessed the ceiling falling because of water damages.. I'm reporting this place its not safe for kids...

they are some liers they are committing frauds in gods house my child has been gone since oct. and i still didnt get back all the money they owe me..my child went there for only 2 months and he didnt like it at all. every time i went there they was watching tv.. they act like they dont know all about there business then when some one who has over 40 years of experiences they dont want to hear it but i will be taking them to court and reporting them to license next week....please do not send you child there they are liers in gods house and they do not stand up

As stated by some of the other reviews; the school appears to be very structed and well put together. They do not follow the Abeka cirrculum as advertised, the children watch television for the better part of the day and there is a high staff turn over rate. Not only that, there have been allegations one of the staff members striking children. Sister Chris, the assistant director, she appears to be professional and very friendly. This is a stark contrast to what I have witnessed. She speaks to her staff in a rude and disrespectful manner in the presence of the students and parents. On a positive note, most of the staff members are great with the children. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO THIS SCHOOL if you do plan to pop up at the school often.
