The leadership, teachers and staff of The Nora School are exceptional in every way. Each student is welcomed and respected as an individual. The team takes the time to get to know students and families, and engage them in the student's educational journey.

Our daughter attended all 4 years of high school at Nora. She is prepared academically and emotionally for her college experience because of the nurturing guidance she received. Her teachers encouraged her to challenge herself and think critically.

We highly recommend this school, especially for students who need a smaller, supportive, yet academically rigorous environment.

The Nora School represents progressive education at its finest and was transformative for my child, providing her with a supportive and engaging environment in which she thrived both academically and socially. The teachers and staff genuinely care about every student and work tirelessly to support individual academic and social/emotional needs. Due to the low teacher-to-student ratio, students form close relationships with teachers and staff members, and are heard, cared for, and valued as unique and special individuals. The school's commitment to social equity, justice, and environmental stewardship is not just a weekly or monthly meeting, but is an integral part of the everyday Nora experience. For the first time in her life, my child looked forward to going to school each day and felt academically challenged and confident. The Nora School also provided excellent and individualized college counseling guidance and support to its students. My child is currently flourishing at an outstanding liberal arts college, having received a substantial merit-based scholarship.

The administrators speak to you condescendingly, and the classes have no structure, which causes stress for many students. It is said to be a "no bullying zone" yet the school is filled with drama and rumors. The work is too easy and doesn't prepare kids for college socially or academically. Many of the kids become sheltered and uncultured. I will say it is better than public school for some but it needs a lot more structure for students to succeed.

My son came to Nora after attending a large middle school. While it took a little time for him to adjust-we found the school caring, supportive as well as a challenging learning enviroment. The classes are small- so very teacher knows each student well, and are open to supporting the student when he/she is struggling. I could not have made a better choice for my son!

A student-
1.Treat u like a baby
2. Supposed to be a bully free place there is still bullying
3. Head of school makes everyone in the school every morning sit in the hallway for 8 min doing mindfulness and being dead silent. What the school doesn't understand is that this causes stress for kids with adhd and with adhd it is stressful to do this no matter how much u try otherwise
4. Supposed to be a pvt school but has teachers that were public school teachers or college professors who teach that way but there not suppsoed to

Nora is a great school. My son had a very difficult time in a large public school and a private school. But since he came to Nora things changed gradually. He's now much happier and motivated. Academically he's also doing much better. The school is not judgemental. They give students space to grow in ways that suit them best. The faculty is so caring, encouraging, and inspiring. Students are understanding and support each other. It's a very warm and welcoming community. I highly recommend this school.

I came to Nora from a larger private school with over 6,000 students. The students there were extremely cruel, and hurtful. I ended up becoming so scared of school I took a medical leave, and left the school. I came to Nora not knowing what to expect. Currently, I am on top of my assignments, have a lot of friends, and I am really happy. Nora changed my life, and if it wasn't for the Nora school I wouldn't be able to feel good about myself.
