Do not send your children to this school!!!! This school does not meet the academic rigor that students need to be successful in high school and beyond. It has been my experience, that minimal teaching is being done, and the students are spending more time on their laptops instead of being taught by the teacher. Furthermore, the work that is given is not academically challenging for middle schoolers. I have a 5th grader who attends another private school in the area, and the academic rigor that she has in the 5th grade is more challenging than the work my 8th grader is coming home with. Additionally, he is struggling to do the 5th grade level work that my daughter is doing. Additionally, their administration of the school is extremely poor. I received a call to pick my child up from school, with no explanation, other than he needs to be picked up. Upon arrival there was no one in administration who could tell me why my student was asked to be picked up, and the reason I received is everyone was busy and could not speak to me and I would have to wait until the teacher put it into the portal. Completely unacceptable for anyone who is an administrator in school to not be available to speak to a parent regarding their student being told he could not be at school that day. This school lacks effective leadership in their administrative staff and I highly recommend that you save your money and invest in a school that will educate and make your student more academically well rounded and competitive for the the 21st century. Furthermore, they need new leadership to reform their administrative staff to be more effective in engaging with parents and students.

I feel as they've created an environment where learning and christian principles meet. My child is learning to read by means of phonics, learning basic math concepts, memory bible verses and actively participates in school plays and concerts. Homework is given at the beginning of the week... some would say too much as homework is given for multiple subjects Monday thru Friday. They also have monthly projects which will require parental assistance. Some weeks can seem a bit hectic as the school is always preparing for special events. This takes away from the classroom time but the kids love the events and so I try find balance with that. Current class sizes are 1:12. You can order lunch through the school portal which offers good variety of options throughout the month. Before and aftercare are on an as needed basis so you only pay for time used. Teachers are hit or miss like all schools. Some share more in the dojo app, if your teacher doesn't communicate prepare yourself for lots of confusion as parents won't receive necessary information about assignments, changes in the uniforms for the week or timely info about upcoming events. The curriculum is adequate but i dont feel as if they encourage higher level learners. All that being said we will stay for another year.

Do not and I beg you do not come to this school. It is a prison. I went here for a few years and when in got into high school everything just got worst, this has to be the won’t high school of all time, the academic are horrible ( I haven’t learned nothing in this school) the teachers don’t push you to do any work, let alone I was in 9th grade doing 6-7 grade assignments. Teachers have secret animosity against you and hand our demerits like it’s candy. They don’t have and typa extra classes or programs you can take, no football, and the basketball team is a joke. We have a 60 year old man who can barely walk as our basketball coach. And trying to leave the school is a huge problem, they don’t send recommendations, or documentations that are required to transfer. And they DO NOT respond to emails, so please for the love of god do not send your child to this pit of hell

Maryland's best kept secret! We've been with Woodstream for 1 year and we love it!! The pre-school teachers are phenomenal and you can feel, see and hear how much they love these babies. The education is remarkable, I am amazed at how much the 2 year olds are learning. Most importantly, they instill incredible values and principles founded on the bible and our Christian faith. I am truly thankful for this school.

POOR! We are so glad we removed our children from this toxic school. The leadership and administration can not take this school serious. This is a church fundraiser. This is NOT a great school. This is NOT a good school. This is NOT a average school. This school should close and focus on the family and administrators and teachers practicing what the Chancellor/Pastor/ Father,/Brother-in-Law preaches. The school is low budget. They do not invest in the building, resources or faculty. The teachers are not excited to be there. The environment is oppressive and harmful. Beware

They talk about how they want everyone to succeed and to do their best but when you are actually in the school you can tell that the only ones that really get those important lessons are the K-5.

This school gives everyone a title so that a prospecting student and their parent think it is nicer than it actually is. In reality, they are like headless chickens. While there were some good "leaders" one of them, in particular, made everyone just feel miserable.

I was at the school for my 8th grade year two students in my class would terrorize the whole class and when we would bring it to the attention of admin or teachers they would either ignore it or they would just give them multiple "warnings".

I went to WCA for my 8th grade year. While this may seem like a short amount of time it was enough to honestly just make me want to give up. Even though I ended the year weird because of COVID-19 I had a terrible experience the whole time. My first problem with the school was the teachers specifically the ones that were also admin. They would go off on the smallest things and when you finally had a problem they would ignore or dismiss you. At the beginning of the year, there was a problem with one of my classes. when I bought it up with the teacher instead of her saying ok or trying to help me to get to the other class she looked me dead in my eyes and said, "I don't think you are ready". In my mind, I didn't understand because I already took the class the year before with an "A". When I finally got moved to the class second quarter had already started and I got no help instead during my first class she constantly called me out and proceeded to roll her eyes at me. In upper school(grade 7-12), you learn to keep your mouth shut or to get in trouble. While there were good teachers and students the bad ones ruined the entire year. In the end, I am pretty sure I saw at least everyone in my class cry at least once because of this school.

Most teachers, at least in the upper school part of WCA, are rude and lacks the positive attitude that the staff initially asks the students to have. Some teachers seem to be, dare I say, unqualified. Many teachers I've dealt with move too fast, or cover lessons in ways that cater to students that learn a certain way. Now knowing that I have had a learning disability, I can say that the way teachers operated was almost unfair to students like me, who tend to learn differently and lean towards different approaches. I've also suspected that certain teachers hold a bias against some students, which is unacceptable and unfair. Many times, teachers will spend more time on unfair and unnecessary discipline than the lesson and tasks currently at hand. All together, minus the select few exception, the teachers at this school are a mess.

The "integrity, compassion and respect" mentioned is only really found in elementary and ECE. In fact, I might even go to say that the lower half of elementary only applies here. The school loses the qualities of compassion and respect as the students get older, as even the teachers stop possessing these characteristics themselves. Older students, or most of them, do not possess good character, mostly towards each other. It seems as if, like with teachers, there are more bad apples within the students than there are good ones. Not necessarily in terms of behavior, but more-so when it comes to the treatment of their peers.

Leadership is something they attempt to establish, but fail at. The staff encourages students to be leaders and not followers, but do nothing more but say these things. Teachers and staff do not effectively train the students to become leaders.

Like mentioned before, students with learning differences don't have the upper hand when it comes to learning. Many teachers only teach a certain way, which may not be effective for some of their students. There are visual learners, auditory learners, kinesthetic learners, etc... What do you think happens when teachers only cater to one? Not everyone actually gets the material. And when students with learning disabilities or challenges are having trouble academically, teachers seem to always shift the blame on them. It's far from okay.

In regards to bullying, the school did nothing about maltreatment of students, at least from my perspective. It seems that when staff are informed about bullying concerns, the approached staff may often "address" the issue, which actually looks like an indirect announcement to the victim student's class, or a little verbal slap on the wrist to the student responsible for the bullying. It's never handled effectively, and bullied students never truly get their justice.

I attended Woodstream up from K4 to 8th Grade, 9 years. Though it may appear clean on the surface, it doesn't take much digging to see that the school doesn't truly own up to this. Now, I will clarify that the school does have its positives, such as few teachers that are decent AT THE VERY LEAST. In elementary, I loved teachers such as Tutor Moss and Dean Ruffin (formerly known by the tutor title). Good middle and high school teachers were teachers like Tutor Kump, Tutor Brown, and Tutor James Wingfield. But any positive qualities of WCA are completely outweighed by the negative ones, thus leaving me to put one little star. As I grew up in the school, I noticed a decline in my satisfaction within it, in regards to education, extracurricular activities, and pretty much every other aspect of the school. Elementary is fine, but once you reach the end of it, you can really see the downward spiral quickly approaching. I, myself, saw the beginning of being bullied about halfway through 4th grade. When I tell you it gets so much worse once you reach middle school and higher, I'm NOT exaggerating. The teachers and staff responsible for upper school are rude, and many of them aren't good at listening to the concerns of parents and students. They're awful at responding to emails, and I can tell that some were even biased; This being highly evident in how certain students would be disciplined for the smallest things. It felt as if they'd run demerits simply because a student was breathing too hard. Besides this, I had a problem with being bullied in my middle school years, which were my final years. You'd think that because most of us grew up around each other, we'd be a close-knit family with no issues whatsoever. Din't be fooled. I had a rude awakening to frustrating mental problems, and regretful years I'll never get back. Besides these more major issues, I personally think that along with the other Fine Arts subjects available, there should be a Visual Arts subject for the students who want to become invested in the visual arts. I felt like this was missing when I was a student. Now, I'm a junior in a public high school, and I'm proud (but also disappointed) to say that I'm doing so much better than I was in WCA. I'm no longer bullied, and am happier overall. I advise you not to enroll here if you want to make a wise decision for your child.

It feels funny to say this as a former student, but realistically, I feel as if teachers either administered too little homework, or homework assignments that were simply too ineffective in regards to helping to learn lessons or to study. While homework generally wasn't the best, it wasn't terrible, at least in my opinion.

We love this school! Woodstream teachers are knowledgeable and teach from the heart! We have 3 children, two of which attended Woodstream in the ECE department before we relocated to a different state. Our third child without a doubt would have attended if we were still living there. Woodstream provides a solid Christian education. Our children excelled there and now surpass other children in their grade level. My son is in Kindergarten and reading at second grade level! Our kids loved going to school and loved their teachers. Teachers and administrators know every student by name and greet them as they walk in the door. The teachers not only teach Christian principles, they live by them and it shows in the students!! You can feel the love when you walk in the door of the school! We so dearly miss you Woodstream Christian Academy! Continue to do God’s work with these children!!

My child did very well until third grade, but encountered significant problems with bullying, unfair discipline, and lack of accountability on behalf of the school leadership. Moreover, the administration is unresponsive to the academic needs and concerns of parents as it relates to bullying. I believe this is a turning point for many parents who often decide to transfer their children because of the pervasive practice of ignoring parents' concerns regarding the academic curriculum, bullying, and unfair disciplinary practices. At the heart of it all is nepotism, All anyone has to do is look at the names of the leadership and staff - Bonita Wingfield Bailey, Stefan Bailey, Robert Wingfield, Yolande Wingfield, Renita Wingfield, Shenita Baiey, Jonathan Wingfield, James Wingfield...Most have leadership positions, while others have teaching positions. This information can be found on the school's website. Not to mention all the close friends that also work or teach in the school. Yes, many of the teachers are great, but why send your child to a Christian school that does not actually practice the Christian values they are teaching almost everyday. After fifth grade, parents remove their children as if there is a mass exodus to better places and I truly understand the sentiment. I gave the school a chance and tried again, based on the promise of improvements. No change. Find a great teacher elsewhere. Find a school that truly believes in Christian values if this an important factor in your school choice. Find leadership in a school that truly support the emotional and social development of children. Find a school that is not desperate to fill seats for dollars. Great school don't have to practically beg for parent's to re-enroll. Parent will do it anyway because the school is great. This is why I have made a different choice.

The WCA teachers are EXTREMELY committed to academic excellence and character development. When my oldest child was young, I learned a valuable lesson as a parent. I had a poor perception of how to advocate for my child. If a teacher informed me or my husband that my child was not cooperating or did something that needed to be addressed at home...I would get offended and defend my child's wrong doing immediately. One day, a seasoned teacher pulled me aside and showed me how to best partner with my child's teachers instead of blaming them every time my son did something wrong. She told me that my child's poor choices did not mean I was not a good parent and that my child was not going to succeed. My child needed to develop and WCA was there to support him. I will never forget how that teacher spoke truth to me in love and she taught me healthy ways to partner with everyone who would invest in his life (teachers, coaches, mentors, etc.). Not only have my children learned so much at WCA, but I have learned and developed stronger parenting skills.

As parents we have to think long-term. We all want the best for our children, but at times it maybe difficult to watch their journey to success. Greatness equals commitment, sacrifice, perseverance, and discipline.

In the midst of raising our children it seemed at times as if homework was overwhelming; however, all of my children agree that it was the homework that helped them develop time management skills, study skills, and it allowed to them to pause to assess each day if they truly grasped the lessons taught at school. If they did not, they would email their teachers and the teachers would prepare and arrange time to assist them one-on-one or in a small group the next day. My children transitioned to college with self-advocacy skills and were not afraid to ask for assistance. These skills were developed at WCA. They were college and career ready!

Woodstream Christian Academy provides students with a firm academic foundation. Our children attended for 11 years and we have been extremely pleased with their academic fortitude. Grit was cultivated in our children which has translated to multiple areas of their lives. They are now pursuing college and graduated degrees. I am extremely impressed with the education my children are receiving at Woodstream Christian Academy. This is an academy for students who are willing to work to develop critical thinking skills that can be applied to all areas of life. My children are challenged to grow not only academically, but also spiritually and socially. This is a school for parents who are committed to the "Process of Learning." I highly recommend WCA to families who are committed to classical Christian education.

There are only a few good things about this school. The only reason they are getting two stars from me instead of one is because I like some of the teachers there. Once you get to middle and high school here, WCA becomes absolutely abismal. Especially for the seniors, but the Deans leave the highschool students basically to their own devices. They don't help with fundraising, they are too strict on some things, and they have bad attitudes a lot of the time. I would not recommend this schoo at all unless your child is in 4th grade or below.

This is not a nurturing, loving, caring, Christian learning environment. The tutors have lied on children and administered undeserved demerits without reasonable explanation. The Dean of the upper school has turned children away from school and class with a smile. The attitudes of the tutors and Dean of the middle and upper school has been rude and nasty. The administration, i.e. Principal and Dean do not respond to emails or phone calls within a timely manner and serious concerns are grossly delayed. Serious incidents or concerns are not addressed until weeks and months later. There are better options for schools. Please continue searching for other options. Woodstream's middle and high school should be closed. They are not skilled or compassionate enough to educate children.

Had to withdraw my two kids after 5th and 6th grade....the 2014-2015 5th grade was a disaster...You will have to spend extra money in tutoring if you want the best for your kid in English.... please look for another school out of PG.....Few great things about the school. I will recommend the PreK to 4th grade, but after that, they have teacher issues, poor student management, more than 21 kids in the 5th grade. You hardly get some teachers to enter grades in the system and when you reach out to the teacher for missing grades, they hardly get back to you. I feel they should stop at elementary level and spend more time to restructure the middle and high school!

Let me be honest. Woodstream is meant for elementary not for high school and middle school. Honestly you have teachers who teach like 5-6 classes and sometimes lose your homework. It takes the teachers a month just to put a grade in. The thesis project is meant for seniors and it puts a lot of stress on students. Overall I wouldn't recommend Woodstream Christian Academy.

I am very pleased with WCA! I have three children who attend and my husband and I will continue to make sacrifices for our children to receive a quality Christian education. I toured 7 other schools before making my decision to enroll our children. My children, for the most part, are excited about going to school every day. The curriculum is advanced and the teachers are dedicated. I really like the gender specific classes for the 4th grade students, the age appropriate yearly Thesis project, STEM Labs, and the athletic program. I highly recommend WCA to other Christian families.

WCA falls short compared to other private schools. Facilities aside, the quality of the education is not adequate. I believe there are some bright spots in regards to teachers (i.e Tutor Brown, Tutor Sampson and Tutor Davidson).. However, they are stretch really thin by having them teach several grades and other duties. There's no accountability !! Teachers are not observed and rated for effectiveness. As a parent, I have to demand homework every night, vocabulary words and writing assignments. The aforementioned are all items that a student will need going into high school and college. Also, with the emphasis on State Common Core standards, WCA is not ensuring that they teachers are accurately utilizing these standards. No consistency except for raising money.. Overall, I'm not pleased and would only suggest the lower school. My child will not be returning no matter the amount of scholarship money.. Please remember that you have to maintain a B in average in college to keep those scholarships.. Getting them and not able to keep them is not worth keeping your child at WCA just because of scholarship money.. I rate my overall experience over the last 5 years as a 2.

I am a proud Alumni of Woodstream Christian Academy. The experiences I had academically, socially, and spiritually were nurtured by a fantastic staff. I attended WCA from 5th -12th grade and grew to love the small class room environment and the ability to be involved in numerous sports, fine art performances, and volunteer opportunities. It was at Woodstream I discovered my love for teaching students through tutoring and because of that opportunity I decided to pursue a degree in Early Childhood Education. Because of Woodstream, I felt prepared for the academic rigor of my college classes, especially in my English and Theology courses. Most Importantly, Woodstream is a school that places God first. Students are challenged to live like Christ through their actions and words, but they are still free to make their own decisions. This allows students to want to seek out a deeper relationship with God out of desire and not out of obligation. Overall, I am thankful for my time at the academy.

As an alumni from the inaugural graduating class of WCA, I can say that there is no other place like it. I have attended three different private schools in the short span of my high school career and the two I spent at WCA had a significant impact on both my spiritual and academic success. Having a close-knit community of tutors (teachers), staff and peers, made my high school experience meaningful. Delivering a thesis in 10th grade and being a apart of the only Christian (winning) debate team in the DC Urban Debate League are just a few of the many gems that WCA has to offer. I credit my stability in my belief of God to my 12th grade Apologetics class that thoroughly explored the Christian worldview in comparison/ contrast to those of other religions. Having a Rhetoric class as part of the Classical method of learning, gave me a competitive edge as both a writer and public speaker. Do I think that WCA is everyone ? No, I don't. I think WCA is for parents and students who are willing to take responsibility of their education and spiritual growth and do the work required to be successful. It's a place to restart, to develop and succeed in the safety of a small Christian environment.

Woodstream provides an excellent environment for learning. The administration and teachers are well qualified and demonstrate a love for teaching. The administration is very conscientious of who (teachers) that they place is the classroom. Thus, they maintain is strong teacher recruitment program. My children have become more independent since attending the Academy. The curriculum is designed to ensure children are actually excelling and excited about learning.

It is truly an honor to be an alumni of this great institution. My experience attending Woodstream throughout high school was nothing short of life-changing. I was challenged cognitively, developed socially, encouraged emotionally, and strengthened spiritually. Opportunities such as playing for the Girls Varsity Basketball Team, being an Ambassador, SGA Member, National Honor Society Member, and even being able to study abroad are a few highlights of my experience at Woodstream. Not only were the teachers able to fully prepare me for my collegiate academic career, but they were able to impart godly values and principles in me that have shaped me into the woman that God desires me to be. As I embark on my senior year of college as an Early Childhood and Special Education major, I would be amiss to forget my foundation. The ability to maintain my spot on the Dean s List for three consecutive years, as well as accepting various different offers from nationally known honor societies is a testament of my experience at WCA. I pray that I will be able to impact the lives of my future students in the way that Woodstream Christian Academy has impacted mine. Class of 2010!! Go Bucks!!

Woodstream Christian Academy is an EXCELLENT Academy!!! We have four children in various departments of the school. The atmosphere is amazing. All of our children have tested well on standardized tests, enjoy going to school, and are growing spiritually. I love the Christian Classical Approach to education. I know of no other school that takes the time to offer free, daily academic coaching sessions for middle and high school students after school. I attended Woodstream Christian Academy from 8th-12th grade and had an amazing experience. WCA provided me with so many incredible opportunities that shaped me into the person that I am today. I had the opportunity to participate on the debate team, drama team, mission s team, student government association, Christians Reaching Out and Serving Society, National Honors Society and Track & Field. I had the opportunity to study abroad in England, Rome, Paris, Greece, and even went on a summer missions trip to an orphanage in Mexico. Apart from the extra curricular activities, I received a quality Christian classical education. The intimate classroom setting challenged me to think critically, quickly, and challenge different ideas and theories. Moreover, I was trained to articulate my thoughts confidently and in a logical manner. The teachers at WCA are excellent and are committed to educating and training young champions for Christ. The friendships that I built with my classmates are priceless. WCA has prepared me to now be a graduate student and teacher. My experience at WCA was life changing; I will forever be a proud buck!

(Middle school) This school does not offer a long lasting education. They move way too fast for the students to fully grasp the concepts and very rarely go over them. The students would be told to go home and basically teach themselves the chapter, never go over it in class, and be expected to pass a test the next day. I don't recommend it.

The mission of this school is to hire unqualified teachers, increase tuition each year and make no improvements, and employ family/church members. Just as another parent stated, WCA is really behind with state of MD standards. Several but not all of the teachers as well as Deans are very rude and show no concern for what the students are learning. If you want your child to get behind, then sign them up for this school. If you want your child to get a solid education and have teachers that have a passion for teaching, then search for another school as you won t find it at WCA.

The only thing Christian about this school is in the name. I was so disappointed in the lack of organization, family support, communication, and adequate resources as over exaggerated in orientation. The high school students are bused to an annex over at the PG Sport Complex, without lockers to put their supplies in, so they have to carry everything from class to class. Not all teachers, but most were rude, slow to respond to e-mails, slow to post grades, did not like to be questioned, but was quick to ask for money. The high school Dean was very rude to the students as well as parents, and there was a lack of communication between the President of the school and the daily activities over at the annex. I found some students to be very unhappy, and expressed how they preferred to be elsewhere. I met other parents who pulled their child before the end of the first quarter. My children have been in a Christian school since kindergarten and despite what I heard about WCA, I decided to give the high school a try. Worst experience ever, I couldn't remove my child fast enough. Save your money and time, there are too many other Christian schools out there and this is not one of them.

RUN! A waste of money! This school talks a good game but the are behin MD state requirements and the children aren't learning. Some of the teachers are NASTY. Very dissapointing to be a christian school.

Its unfortunate that the lower and middle schools are good because the high school is not. For some reason, teachers are apathetic toward teaching, some are more attitudinal than the adolescents they teach, and many don't see the need to update internal systems timely enough for students or parents to know the status of classes. The claim of "Exceptional on Purpose" is a vision, not a reality. It has been alarming to watch the number is students leave mid year and to learn of how many aren't returning. I know that aren't getting funding so maybe the teachers have taken deep cuts. You need to investigate beyond a visit to learn what's going on.

This school has the opportunity to do very well. Unfortunately, lack of funds and using family members in key roles throughout the school has uncovered many challenges for students and parents. Teacher absenteeism is high, homework lacks and there is not enough inspecting of processes and skill sets. Check the facts before proceeding. The Current Head of Schools is good but she has a lot of work to do to right the ship for high school.

It sounds to me as if some parents are a bit bitter because Woodstream has standards. As for my family, I am pleased with the education that my children have received. There should be standards of excellence and letters of recommendation required for those who would like to serve in a leadership position of a PTF in a Christian school. It seems to me that if you have issues with standards maybe you shouldn't serve. We love WCA..they may not have all the bells and whistles of other schools, but the proof is in the 5 million dollars in scholarship offers for the 5 graduating classes...Go Bucks...

My child attended WCA for eight years and things have surely changed. The school is very money hungry and I don't see where the constant tuition increases are being invested. At one point the school showed a PPT of all of the expansions that were going to be made but after a couple if years, no expansions were ever seen. The school is very overcrowded and some students literally have their classrooms in the cafeteria. I understand that the grass is not always greener but WCA has really lost the partnering with home concept. The last school year, I felt like I was my child's teacher as the teacher did nothing. Complaints to the dean were ignored and we've moved on and are very happy.

I'm not quite sure why folks are rating this school as 4 stars. It is ridiculously priced for the quality of teaching that goes on, and they definitely cater to non-working parents as another parent posted; many things occur right in the middle of the work day. There are no PTA meetings because you have to apply and have a letter from your pastor to join; how ridiculous is that? The student turnover is greater than other better private schools in this area, and many of the students who leave have found themselves behind. They excessively focus on what they feel is "teaching up a grade level", but in actuality the curriculum is not standardized, and students miss the basics. I am not impressed that a first grader has written a so called thesis. It seems this school tries to make parents believe their students are "so advanced", when in actuality they are not. Its all a smoke screen. Ask to see SAT 10 or other comparable testing scores. Ask how their students fair when they leave. They also seem to "play favorites" and cater to church members/friends. Needless to say we are no longer at Woodstream. We are in other area private schools which both run circles around this place.

My daughter has attended WCA (Woodstream Christian Academy)since K-4 and I'm very pleased with the education she has received. This past academic year the 4th grade was divided by gender and the feedback from the parents and students was positive. WCA recognized that boys and girls learn differently and addressed the issue. As a results, grades and test scores have improved. Keep up the good work WCA. Go Bucks!

Woodstream has been an excellent school however something is going on at the school that is disconcerting. The tone of the school has changed. It went from a nurturing, welcoming school to lets squeeze the parents of every dollar they have. My child has attended the school for the past 6 years. Up until last year, we were thrilled with the school and happy to be there. The tuition continues to go up each year with no explanation as to why or where the extra money is going. I can't remember when they had a PTA meeting. They do not seem to have consideration for parents who work. For instance, there used to be a Back to School night so parents could attend after the work day. Now all the activities for that event occurs during a work day. I could go on but won t. Apparently, I am not the only one becoming unhappy. I've noticed that parents are taking their children out to the school, which I too am considering. My child loves the school and is doing well academically which is the ultimate objective but the rest of the stuff leaves you with a bad taste. This change in tone may not be noticeable to newer parents but if you've been there long enough you will feel it.

Academically, this school is great, but what turns most parents off is the fact that the administration of this school seems to think that parents are rich. Instead of including everything such as before care, aftercare, lunch, books, athletic fees, and tuition in one set price parents are finding it hard to pay all these different fees. I am leaning toward taking my child out of this school for this very reason. Bad enough we pay about $1000 a month in tuition then add the additional fees....and add another $1500 or more for summer camp. In these hard economic times this is just ridiculous. I truly believe this school caters to parents who like in the Woodmore community. Everyything is about money, money, money....what happy to the focus on academics, love, and family.

I am a parent of a WCA student and overall, the school is an excellent choice because of the small class sizes, the emphasis on christian values, the attentiveness of the teachers and the challenging learning environment. However, there have been some changes in administration and the overall "atmosphere" of the school has changed somewhat. It seems as if the focus is becoming more on finances and fundraisers as opposed to keeping it about the the "family, close knit" environment that it used to be.
