The kids in this school are not safe to hang around! The teachers cuss at kids and for some reason even having self defense against someone who may try to harm you, you will still get suspended?!?!?!?!? This school has stupid rules and your kid will highly get hurt in this school I just know it! Though, the teaching is slightly okay.

I loved this school. My teachers prepared me to be successful in life. I graduated in 1958 and immediately found a job in my field and just went on up and up in my career until I retired at the age of 62. Now at the age of 80, I still look back at the great times I had at Mervo. I could have gone to City or Poly but I chose Mervo which was the right choice for me.

Mergenthaler is a WONDERFUL school and learning environment, with plenty of opportunities to earn an education that will create success in life. If it has one huge fault, it would be that the entrance criteria no longer eliminates students with no interest in successful academic careers as it once did before. Any decrease in academic standards is solely due to this.
