All 3 of my children attended this amazing school! They came out with a very strong foundation for learning and self confidence! The staff here goes above and beyond on a regular basis. You can tell what a great school this is because there is very little turnover in staff or families attending. I highly recommend keeping your child here through kindergarten. That is where all the learning comes together and is completed to give them a strong start for the rest of their school learning.

am thrilled to share our wonderful experience with Casa, where my daughter began attending when she was just three and a half years old. From the start, she absolutely loved it. The program provided her with invaluable emotional and life skills, and the progress she made was truly impressive. By the time she turned four, she amazed us by writing her name, recognizing and writing letters, understanding letter sounds, counting to 100, and so much more. Ms. Jon’s, her teacher, played a pivotal role in this remarkable growth. We are incredibly grateful for the nurturing and educational environment Casa has provided for our daughter.

Despite being new to Montessori, we found this school to be a great fit for our daughters, one who entered at kindergarten and another who entered in PK-4. It is a wonderful school with caring and compassionate teachers. The school is very small and has a real family feel to it, very unlike what kids this age normally experience. Both of our daughters thrived here and absolutely loved going everyday. Both Ms Burkhardt and Ms Jones are excellent teachers and have an ability to really connect with their students. The connected park and playground are a real blessing and the kids are outside pretty much every day. This is a diverse school with children from all over the area. Excellent academics as well. Both of our kids were doing school work above their grade level upon graduation.

Ms. Burkhardt employs a punitive disciplinary strategy, even against behavioral markers of a disability such as "stimming," the repetition of a word or sound as a method of self-soothing for those with Sensory Processing Disorder. For those with SPD, this can reduce confidence and increase stress. A child can not develop character under these conditions.

Absolutely not. My son has a mild disability and is currently in a mainstream program elsewhere without any support and is thriving. However, he became depressed and anxious at this school.

Prior to enrolling in this school, I disclosed that my 3-year-old son was suspected of having an undiagnosed disability due to extreme shyness in a prior classroom setting, but we were waiting to begin school to have him evaluated further. He started a happy, confident child, but within a month and a half had become distressed and anxious. Ms. Burkhardt never held a formal meeting with our family, expelled my son via email, and then cut off all contact. This school is a nightmare for those with disabilities!

Ms. Burhkardt caused emotional harm to my 3-year-old with special needs due to her refusal to accept advice and support from medical professionals. He went from a painfully shy observer to acting out due extremely stressful interactions with her. Elsewhere, he loves his teachers!

There is no homework at the school. And why would there be for a preschool/kindergarten?

Both my kids have attended Casa de Montessori and it has been a really wonderful experience for my family. The teachers are kind and gentle, the staff is really attentive and know each child's needs so well. I also really like all the families we have met through the years there -- it's a strong multicultural and diverse group of kids who are all so sweet. I would highly recommend this school -- it's a gem!

I am on my second child who is attending Casa. I couldn't be happier. The school is a true gem. The first time I walked in the classroom I was impressed by the quiet, focused children who were engaged in what they were doing in the beautiful, orderly, peaceful classroom setting. My oldest child spent 2.5 years there before he went onto public school Kindergarten and he thrived there. I believe he got a great foundation for public school, with a true love of learning, from Casa. My youngest child is currently enrolled and he is also doing very well. Not only is he considerate and kind to others (values supported by Casa in their classroom), but he is interested in the world around him and loves to ask questions and play independently (again values I believe are supported by Casa). The lead teachers (Burkhardt and Jones) have years of experience behind them, and have seen it all! I love that! A unique component of the curriculum is that the children take virtual trips to countries around the world and parents, who come from many diverse backgrounds, can showcase their homelands' culture for the children. Go visit, it is a unique, wonderful school.
